A Brief Review: Clerks III

So while I am not a Kevin Smith fan I have followed the Clerks saga through the movies. I saw the original many years ago and loved the quirkiness and as a younger man thought the vulgarity was funny.

I loved Clerks II and while I think the over the top vulgarity is just forced and useless at this point I was able to see past it and just follow the plot.  Clerks II I enjoyed.

So I did not know Clerks III was being released.  I saw it on Amazon and insta-rented it just feverishly looking forward to seeing it.  Well, it took a solid 30mins of watching it before I wasn’t sorry I did.  Before they get solidly into the plot it’s just f bomb this, and anti-Christian that.  But I plowed through it and was happy I did.

Clearly this is the conclusion of the Clerks saga.  It was an interesting albeit realistic ending that nostalgically makes a trip through the original movie and loops you back to the present.

I give it a 6 out of 10 and recommend watching it ESPECIALLY if you are a Clerks fan.
