I think this movie is a hidden gem. I have watched it many times and it is always a great time. It’s one of the best John Candy movies (in my opinion) and that is saying something. It is a great story, funny and it’s Candy at his best in my opinion. Now while it is a comedy it is not the slapstick Candy is often known for. This movie does have some dramatic overtones to it but its slathered in comedy so nothing is too serious.
It’s a great example of how good movies USED to be. I think most people will adore this movie and if you like it half as much as I do you will love it too.
