As you guys know I am very involved with Ai Art & the future of our entertainment. You also know I am very on the fence about MANY things about Ai & how it is also Very lazy. So I will always give an honest perspective of the Good & the Bad & what we have to steer clear from with this stuff.
This is a video where I discuss & react to one of the best Youtube Coaches out there, Brian G Johnson, he is a great guy & gives great tips of how to grow your channel & maximize the attention of your viewers time. I have used many of his tips. I have no idea how he votes & that is a great thing :) lol
I’m not going to copy paste my description, but I recommend reading the description to get a good idea of where I stand & what my good, bad & very rough experience with the reception of my Ai Designs. Some people can be very VERY toxic & vile with their…not dislike, dislike is a weak word for them, but HATE, they HATE You & Ai without knowing anything about it. You know who I’m talking about when I say these hate filled people that just hate for no reason. I forced myself to sit through a Jim Sterling video where Jimphany Sterling goes off an an insanely angry rant about how vile Ai art is & what Jimphany Sterling thinks should happen to anybody that uses it. These people are violently ill, it’s crazy how completely unhinged they are. Jimphany Sterling even say the words “The Developer of the game Stray Souls should have his head caved in for his views on Jimphany Sterling people” this is not a normal person’s thought process. I’ve never in my life thought that we should kill somebody for their point of view…outside of child rapists that is. Anyways, this is not a Jimphany Sterling topic…yuk.
Thanks for watching & reading, tell me what you guys think?
Have you seen Anna Indiana? Someone mentioned it was like A.I. generated it’s own version of Hanna Montana. One of the reporters started making up all kinds of funny names for other artists using geographic states and girl names. Can’t recall examples like Susie Sedona, but there was a list and some of them were comical.
Despite what the critics say, I think it is very dangerous because as the character was talking about her goals and singing about what it was like to be her, eventually, even though you know it’s A.I., eventually, you get into the story and it really can kind of fool you. There are comments about how lame it is but the thing about that is that we already have artists that used looped beats and autotune, so I honestly cannot really tell the difference.
You are psychic and pre-cog and kind of beat me to it.
It may or may not be off-topic to your thread, but I almost started an “A.I. Cover Tunes” thread after Legatus posted the new release from The Beatles. Fans are using A.I. to have artists sing songs by other artists and it’s kind of trippy. Unfortunately, the technology fools me now. I cannot tell that an artist never actually recorded songs depending on how good the job is.
This AI stuff is so much marketing and fear mongering.
The name is not even correct. This is not artificial intelligence. It’s not intelligent at all. It’s just algorithmic plagiarism. It’s more of a complex automation than anything else.
But let’s be clear. It does not create anything new. Even now what it does output that folks refer to as unique is based on what it knows about existing things and hodge podges ideas together based on human input.
Like VR was, AI is a new tool. And like VR when it came out in the 90s it was hailed as an evolutionary technology that would make everything better. Well, that did not happen. Decades later here comes VR again. And again it will change everything and be used everywhere. Did that happen the second time? No. It’s a tool that has use in the correct applications, and AI is the same.
Most of what you see/hear about AI is fear mongering so that certain folks can manipulate the situation for self enrichment and so “news” sites can write scary articles so that you will click them. The rest is marketing.
This is the state of AI now. That is not to say further advancements don’t lead to something truly horrible and uncontrollable. This is something society should keep an eye on. But until AI is actually artificial intelligence there is not much to be concerned about unless you put it in control of certain things.
I doubt humans will ever directly create artificial intelligence. I believe what would happen is we create an advanced learning automation that starts writing itself and quickly self evolves into an actual AI. The frightening part there in my mind is that would happen so quickly we would never see it coming until it was far too late.
