Hey y’all! As a long time Strategy-RPG enthusiast, and a long time Fire Emblem fan, I am super excited for Project Triangle Strategy.
I was pleasantly surprised by how long the demo and enjoyed my experience with it. The core mechanics feel good, and even the choice mechanic felt weighty (which it should). My only complaints are some of the voice acting could be better, namely the main character, who sounds flat. I also kind of wish my characters felt a little more powerful. In the 2nd map in the demo I felt very threatened by the enemy forces, but I don’t know how much of that was just me still getting used to the mechanics.
I think from my demo experience, if the game is fine tuned – it is going to be a very good game and I cannot wait for the finish project.
Anyone else hyped?
I’m looking forward to it, but we have to wait a while since the game releases next year.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they said the demo is a bit harder then what these scenarios would be in the final game?
Anyway, the demo certainly intrigued me. I’m not super familiar with the FFT games though I do enjoy Square’s FFT-style mobile game, War of The Visions). Compared to Fire Emblem, Triangle Strategy did feel really slow. (This may be why War of The Visions limits the player to 5 person teams, to limit the slowness of the game) But the story, what we saw of it, interested me enough. I’ll be paying attention.
I am really looking forward to this game. But it’s a year away.
