What are your favorite movie villains ever, give me a top 5, I have a feeling I know who most people’s favorite is🤡
1. Joker (The Dark Knight)
2. Darth Sidious (Star Wars)
3. Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)
4. Thanos (MCU)
5. Hans Landa (Inglorious Bastareds)
1.Darth Vader
2. Mickey Mouse
3. Thanos
4.Captain Marvel
5, Jeremy
Hans Gruber – Die Hard
Vincent – Collateral
Norman Stansfield – The Professional
Neil McCauley – Heat
Viggo Tarasov – John Wick
Honorable mention:
Benedict – Last Action Hero
Ned Trent – The Specialist
I have a very particular archetype in mind when it comes to favorite movie villains. The last two aren’t for memes, I genuinely think they are great movie villains. And no, I don’t think Joker in either film is better than any of these.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman – Full Metal Jacket
T-1000 – Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Scar – The Lion King
Khan – Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan
Biff Tannen – Back to the Future
Here’s my own
1. Joker (The Dark Knight/ Joker) Both are number one
2. Thanos
3. Darth Vader
4. Voldemort
5. Kilmonger
PS- DRUNK3PO! You found my forum, good day
1. Syndrome (The Incredibles)
2. Darth Vader (Star Wars)
3. Joker (The Dark Knight)
4. Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2)
5. Thanos (MCU)
Hard to narrow it down to top 5 but here is a top 8 in no particular order
Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest)
Darth Vader
Hannibal Lecter (in Silence Of The Lambs)
Joker (Dark Knight)
Norman Bates (Psycho)
Frank Booth (Blue Velvet)
Michael Myers (in the original Halloween)
Hans Gruber (Die Hard)
1. Hans Gruber(Die Hard) – Devious, intelligent, ruthless. Played perfectly by one of the best actors of his generation. Shows his presence and threat throughout the entire movie. Has excellent lines and banter with the hero. He’s the epitome of what a villain should be.
2. The Joker(Dark Knight) – Some of the best lines to come out of a villain, a truly threatening presence to the hero, and Heath Ledger’s performance is top-notch.
3. Howard Paine(Speed) – Criminally underrated villain. Dennis Hopper looked like he was having so much fun.
4. Emperor Palpatine(Star Wars Saga) – He’s good in Return of the Jedi. But the prequel trilogy makes him truly great as a villain. We watch him slowly rise to power in those movies to the point where no matter who comes out on top, he wins. Masterful villainous plotting.
5. Loki(MCU) – The best example of a villain who can’t decide whether or not to be a heel or a face. He truly keeps you guessing as a character. In the MCU, it’s him or Thanos for best villain.
My taste is a little strange and possibly immature/childish.
I suppose this is more “my personal favorites” than “best”. But they are “the best” to me. :)
The Operative (Serenity)
Darth Vader (Star Wars – he gets in because unlike Darth Sidious the Disney trilogy didn’t ruin him)
Khan Noonien Singh (the Star Trek 2 version, not the Into Darkness version)
Dr Julian Carswell (Night/Curse of the Demon)
Captain Korso (Titan AE)
1. The Devil. Whether is Robert DeNiro, Ned Flanders, Emmanuelle Seigner, or anyone else, Ol’ Scratch is hard to beat as a bad guy.
2. The Russians. For most of my childhood, if you needed a bad guy, you needn’t have looked any farther than the U.S.S.R.
3. Nazis. “Nazis! I hate these guys!” ~ Indiana Jones
4. Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Book or film, Blofeld (almost) always delivered.
5. Darth Vader. He personified evil for me when I saw Star Wars at a drive-in in ’78.
Honorable Mention goes to: Space Girl (Mathilda May) in Lifeforce. She may not have had what it takes to make it into my Top 5, but if you’ve seen the movie, you know she has two strong attributes that earn her an honorable mention from me.
1. Vader
2. Joker (Dark Knight)
3. Thanos
4. Palpatine
5. Loki
1. Joker (The Dark Knight)
2. Palpatine (Star Wars)
3. Thanos (MCU)
4. Claude Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame)
5. Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean)
