In case you have not heard, the Christmas classic does indeed have a sequel. It’s on HBO Max. I assumed it was trash and could never measure up to the original. Well on a scale of 10, I give it a 9.
It was great. It paid homage to the original throughout, had mostly the same cast and while it was it’s own story it felt familiar.
Essentially it is the middle-aged version of Christmas in the theme of the original movie set in the 70’s.
Watch it with your family. It is very much worth the time.
