A place to Offer and Request services! (programming, design, hosting, art, etc)
nodsaibot- Heyas! I kinda like that idea. And it sounds good. Tho it would have to be on the understanding that the site itself is not involved in the transaction. There are legalities to consider, in that. There is also legalities involved regarding multi-national shipping, difference in laws, differences in money values, fees involved for payment of transactions across national boarders, etc etc etc. Even here in the US, there can be differences in laws between one state and another.
Which it would have to be clearly understood, is that such things are stuff that the two people involved in the transaction will have to sort out for themselves.
One of the things that makes it difficult, is that sites like this, can be put under laws of different countries. For example, when I worked for NexusMods, we were under the laws of the UK (because the site was hosted there) as well as the US (because we had employees from there).
So let’s just take a completely wild example. Lets just say… making chain mail, selling chain mail, and shipping chain mail. Let’s say, that in both countries, the US and the UK, they say it’s legal to make chain mail. Both countries say that it’s ok to sell it. But US says that it’s not ok to ship it. Or UK says that it’s not ok to import it. (I have no ideas what the laws are in the UK for making, selling, or shipping chain mail, I’m just creating a fictitious example).
Like I said, I like the idea. I think it would help with site growth. But there’s a lot of lawyer-ese that also goes along with it.
