City of Ottawa considering legal action to recoup protest costs

Ottawa’s mayor says the city is contemplating legal action against the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe, arguing that Ottawa taxpayers shouldn’t be left to pay costs associated with the convoy protest now snarling traffic in Canada’s capital.

So then can cities and states sue blm for all the damage associated with them burning and looting and rioting?

“And you know, my hope is that GoFundMe understands that this is a completely inappropriate use of dollars, to be coming into a city to create this kind of havoc in neighbourhoods, to shut down businesses, to harass our residents on the streets of Ottawa.”

Replace Ottawa with any other city hit by riots.

We need to sue those sjw/blm/antifa(fascist) “activists” for REAL damages, lose of property, lose of businesses, etc. THEY CAUSED, and the donors who helped fuel it!

The GoFundMe fundraising page set up to support the (TRUCKER) protesters has raised more than $9.7 million from 120,600 donations. Late last month, GoFundMe put a temporary hold on transferring the funds, saying it wanted more details from organizers about the convoy and its financial management.

Something they should have asked BEFORE they accepted the fundraising page.  And since it is a peaceful protest, funds should not be withheld.

A CBC News analysis of the donations found that at least a third of the donors were listed as anonymous or used invented names.

As the communist biased channel most likely wanted to DOX and HARRASS the donors for wanting to support fights and freedoms over tyrannical mandates over bodily integrity.

Trudeau knelt with the marxists blm, but won’t meet/talk with freedom protesters.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is giving no sign he’s willing to negotiate with the protesters occupying Ottawa who are demanding either an end to all vaccine mandates …. (among other things)

It has since expanded into a movement against broader public health measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, including provincial vaccine mandates, masks and restrictions.

When asked if he’d ever consider negotiating directly with the protesters to get them to leave, Trudeau said that vaccine mandates were debated in detail during the September federal election.

“That is the decision Canadians took in the last election, by voting for parties that were supporting those mandates,” he told a virtual news conference Thursday.

“So having a group of people who disagree with the outcome of an election, who want to go a different way and bring in an alternative government, is a non-starter in a responsible democracy.”

You did not “WIN” the election.

You have no MAJORITY government.

You ONLY got 32.6% of the popular vote.  That is NO majority mandate!

You ONLY got 47.3% of the seats in parliament.  That is NO majority mandate!

So then you do NOT represent the MAJORITY of CANADIANS!

And this is NOT about the election that never should have been called (and cost the taxpayers $610Million dollars!)

It is about the abuse of rights and freedoms this lib-tard insists on.

Now get this.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said Wednesday residents are being held “hostage in their own homes.”

As are all those who believe in the RIGHT to choice between getting the jab and the RIGHT to choice to NOT get the jab.

They are being held hostage (get it or no travel, no socializing, no jobs, etc.)

Civil RIGHTS of the protesters, and what they are protesting for, is in the RIGHT.

Ask the people of Paris during their long Orange Vest protest, and how Trudeau et al were all behind it!

Ask the people in India during the farmer’s protest, and how Trudeau et al were all behind it!

But getting behind a Canadian protest over his government’s handling of mandate… CRIMINALS!  I won’t see/talk to them!

And like the protesters have stated;

“Let me assure the people of Ottawa that we have no intent to stay one day longer than necessary. Our departure will be based on the prime minister doing what is right, ending all mandates and restrictions on our freedoms,” she said.

“We will continue our protest until we see a clear plan for their elimination.”

Give an exact date!

or give when national numbers (be it number jabbed, or hospitalization/ICU numbers, etc.)

Something that tells and lets EVERY Canadian citizen know WHEN the “pandemic” can be called officially over and all this right infringing mandates are over.

As it is, this power grab and subversion on human rights, is something that using their current terminology can be never ending.  A permanent fixture of society.

This is what the protesters are fighting for.

Once there is a publicly released plan to END the restrictions, the protest is over.

How simple is that?

But the power hungry Trudeau does NOT want to give a plan to ease restrictions.  His political career hinges on keeping power over others.

That fact MOST media does not want to report on this, is of no surprise.

They like the idiot of the village, self-taking, clown being in charge.

While it is related, the timing is a co-incidence, as this was something that was planned before the convoy/protest.

During a Facebook live broadcast late Thursday, (our premier) announced that the government’s COVID cabinet committee would meet early next week and then announce a plan for removing all public health restrictions, beginning with the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) in the near future.

REP?

To enter businesses or public facilities where the program is in place, a person must show proof of double vaccination, a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within the past 72 hours of service, or documentation of a medical exemption.

So the segregation of citizens will be ending.

But as expected, the LibTard mayors where I am are asking to keep segregation enforcement in place.

In an email, obtained by CBC:

…MLAs share the view that two doses of vaccine doesn’t slow down viral transmission as much as originally believed, particularly with the omicron variant.

“In other words, the REP has not been particularly effective at limiting the spread of omicron,” one point reads.

“Given that, and the division the REP has caused in our community, I oppose the continued use of the REP. I have expressed my opinion in caucus, to the premier, and to you,” reads the next point.

And the FACTS prove that.

“But it is clear now that mandates like the Restrictions Exemption Program are not as effective against the current COVID-19 situation as much as health officials expected,”

So this attacking against our rights and freedoms, must END.  And it is nice what we have a strong leader WILLING to look at the data, and adjust.  Something we have seen so many others in positions of authority REFUSING to do.

I wasn’t alive for it, so I don’t know for sure, but I wonder if this is what the 1989 anti-communist revolutions in eastern Europe felt like. After decades of oppression, people began rising up against their governments and toppled dictatorships. Obviously, two years of lockdowns is not nearly as bad as decades under communism, but I feel like they’re similar in some way
