Tow trucks on contract to Ottawa refuse to remove convoyers: city official

Ottawa has a list of companies with a standing offer to provide tow services on the municipal dime.

But city manager Steve Kanellakos told reporters Monday evening that those operators have unilaterally said “no” to the city’s requests amid the ongoing demonstration snarling Ottawa’s downtown, now in its second week.

“We’ve contacted them all and they’re all refusing … to provide heavy tow truck work,” Kanellakos said in a press conference following a special city council meeting.

And now they (the elites) are threatening the tow truck companies.

He said those operators are still doing “light” work for the city like towing cars.

But it’s the heavy truck and larger vehicle jobs that are being refused.

“Many of them or most of them don’t want to do the work, especially the heavy tow truck work, because they rely on the heavy truck industry for their livelihood and they don’t want to damage that part of their business,” Kanellakos said.

So what are you gonna do?

Kanellakos said the city is reviewing its contracts with its tow providers and seeing “what actions we can take to deal with this unprecedented situation.”

Yay, like losing suing for not fulfilling the contracts, to terminating the contracts, to pulling their license to work within city limits, etc… BLACKMAIL!

So if you are not an NPC, following the government narrative/agenda, where you should live in security at the expense of your rights and freedoms and abilities to socialize and earn a living, you are the minority, and minorities are NOT being protected when it suits them NOT to.

What the government wants to do is segregate citizens, discriminate against citizens, and you should cheer, just like in the film “Revenge of the Sith”, when freedom DIED.  But a resistance to tyranny is growing.

This is just another step towards having a social score system officially adopted to control the population.

Prevent the free movement of people who don’t think like the elites want.

Prevent people from being able to earn a living who don’t think like the elites want.

Liberal MP accuses his own government of ‘politicized’ approach to the pandemic

Liberal Quebec MP Joël Lightbound says he’s uncomfortable with the federal government’s handling of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, saying its pandemic response has become “politicized” and “divisive.”

No sh!t.

Pointing to more than a dozen developed countries that have started to do away with restrictions already, Lightbound said Tuesday it’s reasonable to rethink Canada’s COVID-19 approach as it becomes increasingly clear that the world will be dealing with this virus for years to come.

True.

Lightbound said people who question existing policies should not be “demonized” by their prime minister.

“I can’t help but notice with regret that both the tone and the policies of my government have changed drastically since the last election campaign. It went from a more positive approach to one that stigmatizes and divides people,” Lightbound said.

But they need to play the victim card, so they need to demonize a group.  And unless/until this fringe “MINORITY” government fails at one of the confidence votes, they have four years to mismanage the nation.

Lightbound said the Liberal government’s decision to put vaccines at the centre of the political debate risks undermining public trust in the country’s public health institutions.

“It’s becoming harder and harder to know when public health stops and where politics begins,” he said. “It’s time to stop dividing Canadians and pitting one part of the population against another.”

Right now, I would say it is DEFINITELY purely POLITICS.

Speaking to reporters on Parliament Hill, Lightbound said COVID-19-related restrictions have wreaked havoc for too long and the federal government needs to provide some sort of “roadmap” for lifting pandemic measures, such as the strict limits on travel. He said measures that were reasonable in a previous phase of the pandemic should not be “normalized with no end in sight.”

And that is what we ALL want.

None of this constant moving goal-posts.

So saying 100% jab rate, zero ICU, zero hospitalizations, zero active cases, is NOT acceptable.

Saying this IS the new normal too is NOT acceptable as well.

Let everyone know what the end-plan is to these restrictions.

These protesters are a clear sign Canadians are feed up and WANTS to see the signs leading to the end of the tunnel (and of the end of restrictions on our lives).

Stop adding MORE restrictions.

Give us a clear and concrete plan to return back to pre-pandemic life.

Someone pointed out the other day that the convoy shows what the lockdown did to people. The lockdown also resulted in economic sanctions on smaller businesses. All the truckers did was flip the script. Let’s see how you like lockdowns and economic sanctions. The globalists started this war on the little guy and they can’t take what they dish out? All the Canadians did was hold up a mirror.

Anti-vaccine mandate protests spread across the country, crippling Canada-U.S. trade

Federal ministers warned Wednesday that anti-vaccine mandate protests at two key Canada-U.S. border crossings have the potential to seriously disrupt the flow of goods in the days to come.

It got your attention!

“I believe it is very serious and potentially grave. It is already having a huge impact on Canadian industry and Canadian workers,” Blair said of the disruptions.

Just like the mandates are having a HUGE disruption to workers.  And these workers are feed up!

Speaking briefly to reporters before question period, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his government is working with Ontario and the City of Windsor to put an end to the blockade.

“We need to stop the blockage of supply chains. Jobs are affected,” he said, adding he’s “very preoccupied” with a protest movement that now threatens to bring trade in some regions to a standstill.

And what of the workers these mandates are keeping from making a living? ! ?

There jobs are directly affected by those mandates.

The opposition Conservatives blamed Trudeau and his vaccine mandate for the chaos. They called for a “road map” to end federal pandemic restrictions and clear out illegal blockades that are damaging the economy.

“Countries around the world are opening up. Canadians are ready to get their lives back but it seems like the prime minister wants to live in a permanent pandemic,” Conservative interim leader Candice Bergen said, repeating her call for Trudeau to dump vaccine mandates and travel restrictions.

“The prime minister needs to put his ego aside and do what’s right for the country.”
