I recently started a Youtube channel called Yeticast, where I make snarky reviews of movies and TV, plus more. I’m trying to get it off the ground and I think the Geeks and Gamers forum will enjoy my videos, so please check it out if you want to see my Cobra Kai review: https://youtu.be/8zuprMGvEkM
What did you guys think of the series?
*I couldn’t find any rules about sharing links to my channel, but if this is against the rules, please let me know.
Nice review
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m working hard to get out more!
I’m so excited for season 3 I didn’t watch this when it was on Youtube Red and then when it came to Netflix I decided to give it a shot the first episode was a little shaky but when I saw the second and third episodes I was hooked

Cobra Kai – Season 4 – Spoiler-Review
Geekin’ with James Hancock
My spoiler review for season 4 of ‘Cobra Kai’ on Netflix.
I just finished Season 4….spoiler free review tomorrow.
THIS is how you do subversion!
And here is @Roas’s (spoiler free) review:
Not to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t seen Season 4 of Cobra Kai yet but is anyone else a bit freak out by this season from Cobra Kai Season 4 when ****SPOILER ALERT****** Avert your eyes now…..Terry Silver ruthlessly beats the shit out of Stingray?
This has to be one of the darkest scenes I have ever seen on Cobra Kai and on TV. Stingray has to be one of the most innocent characters in the whole Cobra Kai universe and he gets beat up by one of the most evil characters in all of Cobra Kai that makes Kreese look like a nice guy in comparison.
I saw like 4 or 5 episodes of season 1 and couldn’t keep watching it. I don’t know what it is, but I’m constantly told how great shows are, so I watch them and they are nothing resembling the praise I heard. I just can’t listen to reviews anymore from anyone. I feel like I’m just downright being lied too at this point. Someone tells me a show is anti-pc and not woke and thats exactly what it ends up being. Someone tells me, oh it gets good at season 4 and I waste hours getting to that point only to find out its the worst season of them all.
Anyway not to rant, when I watched what I did of Cobra Kai, it felt like it was made by youtubers, not just on youtubes platform. The fighting was awkward, the characters irritated me, like making Daniel a rich douchy car salesman, the millenialism…Can’t do it.
I liked the part where Miguel is hanging out with Daniel and they talk about Christopher Cross and Chicago and Johnny finds out and gets pissed about it. Funny because I happen to like both and might be even more partial to Chicago. Not sure what Miyagi-Do is going to do, but one thing they could do is rebrand the dojo. I used to like the scenes with Mr. Miyagi trimming the Bonsai tree while teaching his wisdom and philosophy. Bonsai would be a good name for a dojo. Also, when Daniel and Mr. Miyagi got excited about something, they would scream Bonsai but it sounded like Banzai, the Japanese cheer or war cry. Bonsai Karate would be a great new name.
Another comment I saw about the series was that fans liked how Daniel’s son in the show became a bully like Johnny was, a spoiled brat bully. It’s like the weakest are picked up by Cobra Kai, who teaches them to win by cheap shots and striking first. The new black kid is super quick and punched Park. Also, in the final, when the girl landed an illegal elbow to the face and Terry Silver told her to do it again and say it was an accident to blind Daniel’s daughter. What interests me about this show is that it is even better than Mortal Kombat and others. It’s like each character has an ability. Robbie was taught by Daniel, so he can do both styles. Johnny tutored Daniel’s students and the tornado kick dropped Miguel but worked for Sam the daughter.
As for the way the fighting looks, Karate is a point system style. We in the west are used to UFC or boxing, which has more continuous movement per round.
