Has anyone played Control?
I’m a HUGE fan of Max Payne And Alan Wake. I was disappointed when they made Quantum Break an Xbox One exclusive since I knew I would never buy an Xbox One. I was thrilled to see that Remedy released a game on PS4. Before I buy it or possibly pay for another month of PS NOW, I would like to get a consensus on the game itself.
Many thanks.
Story and characters are pretty woke. Main character is, probably, the most unattractive female main character ever put in a game. Soundtrack is meh.
But, the gameplay is so goddamn good it manages to overshadow it.
Do recommend but skip the cut scenes.
I’m guessing that I’m about halfway through through the game. I have to say that so far I really like it. Anxious to see where Alan Wake comes into play. I don’t really see the wokeness yet but I know that things can change.
The only character I don’t really like is Marshall as her character comes across as rude and condescending. Unless there’s something changes, I will eventually buy the game I’m sure. PS Now has made it clear that the game will not be around for much longer.
I’m interested in buying the game on disc for PS4 if I can ever find a new one at a good price. I never saw it drop below $29.99 on Amazon, and it’s been out of stock for a while.
I finished the game this morning and I promptly told my wife that if she needed some ideas for gifts, Control is at the top of the list.
Never heard of it. Whats it about?
The game is made by Remedy (the studio behind Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break).
The protagonist is looking for her brother who was taken by a shadowy government organization the Federal Bureau of Control. You enter the headquarters building just the building goes into lockdown due to a hostile force.
The game has the atmosphere of the X-Files, the the third person shooter gameplay Of Uncharted with Force powers mixed in.
If the game was made by someone other than Remedy, I probably never would have looked at it but it’s a spectacular game. Looking at the game overall I wouldn’t really consider it woke and politically neutral which is also a perk to the game.
