This is a very interesting thread! Below are the numbers from my country, the thing is haven’t been doing math for around 15 years. I was hoping one of you gentlemen could help fill in the number at the bottom of my post?
Total Cases: 187.320
Total Deaths: 1.720
Looking deeper we get:
Recovered: 165.166
Total Active Cases: 20,434
Total Tests: 11.721.588
Total Tested population: 4.061.221
Population: 5.837.213
Just over ?,???% of the population has recovered from covid, or ??? out of every 100,000 people.
Or better yet, just over ??% of those who got covid has recovered so far, or ??,??? out of every 100,000 people.
Just over ?.??% of the population currently has covid, or ?? out of every 100,000 people.
Just over ??% of the population has been tested, or ??,??? out of every 100,000 people.
Just over ?.???% of the population has died from covid, or ? out of every 100,000 people.
Let’s see what I can do:
Just over 2.67% of the population has recovered from covid, or 2,675 out of every 100,000 people.
Or better yet, just over 83% of those who got covid has recovered so far, or 83,369 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 0.350% of the population currently has covid, or 350 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 69% of the population has been tested, or 69,575 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 0.029% of the population has died from covid, or 29 out of every 100,000 people.
Death rate for these numbers is 0.00918%
Total cases vs population is 0.032%
recovered rate from total is 88% but since the death rate is 9 in 100000 the numbers dont meet in the middle.
They claim they have more then twice your population is unused tests? why?
tested population 69.5%
Where I live, as of Jan.12th:
Just over 2.22% of the population has recovered from covid, or 2,217 out of every 100,000 people.
Or better yet, just over 85.% of those who got covid has recovered so far, or 85,681 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 0.299% of the population currently has covid, or 299 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 38% of the population has been tested, or 38,336 out of every 100,000 people.
Just over 0.030% of the population has died from covid, or 30 out of every 100,000 people.
@MrDragonbane there is nothing strange about how many tests were given.
The same person can be tested multiple times, especially if they are sick/hosiptalized.
That is one reason why I like to use the number of people tested, not total number of tests given.
In sports, for example, many leagues require their players/staff/etc to be texted three times a week.
If one is tested positive, then a second test the next day is made to make sure it was not a false positive.
It’s a broken virus from China that is a glorified flue it’s a big scam
OH look! New numbers:
8,652 active cases — the lowest total seen since Nov. 12.
626 being treated in hospitals of which 108 are in intensive care
111,662 Recovered cases
1,587 deaths
99,814 vaccines have been given with about 10,000 having gotten the second shot.
test results are very random. it’s very easy to test positive even if you dont have the virus.
We should have a more efficient way of testing.
7,530 active cases
582 being treated in hospitals of which 103 are in intensive care
114,586 Recovered cases
1,631 deaths
2,839 confirmed cases per 100k residents
6,599 active cases
539 being treated in hospitals of which 94 are in intensive care
116,820 Recovered cases
1,671 deaths
109,341 vaccines have been given with about 18,970 having gotten the second shot.

And still I hear from the news/radio the medical community is calling for more funding, more medical related jobs, exhaustion, etc. No other industry matters as they are essential – you are not.
