Any thing under Shirow Masusame like Appleseed or Ghost in a Shell. Silent Moebius is good. I also like Angel Cop (hehehe). And of course! Buble Gum Crisis is FANTASTIC! A lot of great sci-fi or cyberpunk genre anime happened in 80’s and 90’s.

Ghost in the Shell, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, and Battle Angel Alita are the ones that come immediately to mind. Appleseed was also pretty-not-bad.

Bubblegum crisis is always a good one to fall back on. Another one to look into is called A.D. Police files from the 90’s. It’s a sort of prequel to BGC.

Yup. A.D. Police files is another one. but that’s more or less a spin-off from Bubblegum Crisis. So same universe essentially as you mention. A.D. Police Files has a bit of a darker tone than BGC though. There is also a manga of it called A.D. Police: Dead End City which sets between episode 1 and 2.
Only one from BGC universe i have not seen is Parasite dolls.

I have roughly all BGC art books. the art work for backgrounds are so well done. love every bit about it.

Did you know that there was also an rpg based on BGC from R. Talrsorian games, the same company that released Cyberpunk 2020 back in the late 80’s to 90’sSorry for the sideways picture I cant figure out how to rotate a picture
