    Just a friendly reminder:

Take some time and step back from everything from time to time.  With all the non sense going on in the world, and everything directed right at you.  It is there to manipulate you.  It is designed to make you feel a certain way about how you see reality.

Unplug and turn it all off for a day or so.  Walk away from the internet, walk away from the manipulation.  It will all be here waiting for when you get back.  To much of this can be unhealthy.  And have an ill effect on your very core.

Find something that really matters to you and cherish it, while you still have it.

Good Advice! I take time out from the web every day, especially when I’m out. You will surprised how many people walk around on their phones not paying attention. I’ve had to tell a few people not to walk into things and cross the road because they are too busy clicking away

That is why I paint. I can turn off the bullshit and just listen to music.

I can’t…I’m on my computer all the time writing right now. My reward for completion in the next couple of weeks will be rejoining my guildies in an MMO (I haven’t played any videogames for over 2 months at least…I don’t count trying PSO2 for a week…it was crap).

Then again, I don’t do social media…this and watching Fandom Menace/Comicsgate YouTubers is the extent of that. And I don’t live on my phone. My phone is just a phone to me. So, I’m not exactly poisoned by all that garbage. I very easily escape from all the bullshit.

There is a reason these big Tech companies do not let their children on these things.

Do you all know what a Ju Ju Zombie is?   It is the perfect example of what is going on here today.

    https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Juju_zombie

These are not the typical mindless types.  These are fully aware zombies that act and function like the living.  This is what phones and social media have done to some people.  The Blue check marks, the SJW crowd, commies and scum bags.

I think we are past the point of talking this out.  At this point it is just sooner or later.

How could they divide the country further?   I will tell you as I see it happening.  They pull the rug out from under all of us and select Joe Biden the puppet as a place holder.

Within days you will see the media start to call all protests, riots and non peaceful gatherings.  Because it will be our side that will take to the streets.  You will see as those who have had the rug pulled out from under them become everything the media is covering up right now.

The script will flip, and any Trump supporters trying to peacefully protest will be labeled as no peaceful.   The table is set now.  And all they have to do is allow Biden to win office.

They already have this country torn in half.  What better way for them to deliver the final blow.

This is what I see coming.  Will it happen?  I don’t know.  I do know if Trump does win it will make the tantrums these leftists tossed in 2016 look tame.  They will go full animal house.

Kind of damned no matter what happens.

I won’t be going out in the streets.  I will be holding up right where I am at.

I have a work area in my basement to work on various projects, such as crafting, house repairs, my kids’ toy repairs, etc for the specific reason of unplugging. In fact, about 2 weeks ago, I took some aluminum computer desk legs that I saved after my desk was destroyed when our basement flooded 7 years ago and built a new work bench with them.

Good man!  Crafts and painting are great outlets that are isolated enough to give you a chance to get away from it all.  Online and in our regular lives.  You sound like a very handy guy Keith.  Someone who knows the value of items that can be restored and given new life if given the proper care.

I am very happy to see this community realize the value of being able to walk away from time to time and find something they are passionate about.

I love crafts and going out into my shed turning on my music and before I know it hours have past.  The boy sometimes joins me out here to watch what is going on and he is my little helper.  I can see him one day taking up the mantle of house hold handy man one day soon.

    Thanks for the reply guys!

Sometimes I feel like I am the only person who walks away from all this stuff.  I see everyone and their phones and it is almost like the are sucked in so deeply they have this glazed look over their eyes.  One of the main reasons why I only use a flip phone.  I had a smart phone for about 2 years.  Something about them didn’t sit right with me.   But I won’t go on preaching about those as I realize 95% of the population feel they NEED one.  Each to their own.

I just don’t need or want one.  It helps me unplug much easier.

Rosa:  I to spend a lot of time escaping via MMO games.  Mostly WoW when it came out in 2004 ~ 2012.  Spent a lot of good time on there and while I was still jacked into the matrix it did give me an escape.   Remember don’t forget to hang out with your friends outside of Azeroth.  hehe

Just as long as you are not overloaded with news cycles and getting fully sucked into one ideology or the other you are good.  This goes for all of them.  Even the right side of things can become unhealthy if that is all you consume.  I try to find a good balance while staying in touch with current events.  Staying in touch with my favorite content creators.   As I gave up on Hollywood and most movies.  I just can’t support those scum bags.

Geeks and Gamers does a pretty good job exposing the assholes for what they are, while still catering to the masses who enjoy consuming that stuff and staying topical.  Balance is key!

Videogames are my primary tool of escapism, so it was a natural evolution to move into MMOs. I’ve been in them since 2003, but they’ve never ruled my life. I have the cold turkey gene, so I’m able to walk away from things at the drop of a hat, which makes it easy for me to come and go from whatever MMO I’m currently into. I also get bored easily when content dries up, so I don’t dwell in a game unless my guild is active in it, because half the fun is playing with people you enjoy gaming with. And since I’m currently running/rebuilding the latest incarnation of our guild with my co-founder, I have a voice where we hang our hat.

I was never a WoW guy, but considering SWTOR is boring again, as is FFXIV until the next expansion, and Blue Protocol is probably a year away from Western release, I’ve consented to getting my WoW cherry popped in the coming weeks. Considering everything else on the MMO market is not appealing at all to me and those I’ve played with for years, I’m willing to finally play WoW as something to do. They are lining up to give me shit about it.

And yeah, balance is key in everything. Kinda unfortunate thing is, though, considering where my life choices have taken me these past few years, I don’t have any physical friends nearby anymore. All my relations are digital except for family. Last year I attempted to connect with a few people in my last Master’s program, but I think anyone here can figure out how that turned out. Campuses are nightmares, and for anyone who disagrees with the hive mind there are no connections to be made.

I’ve had more fun talking to people here in the past two weeks than I did for an entire year talking to the mindless drones on campus. To me, everyone here are more real than they were, and unless I find the money and time to go to Comicsgate’s For the Fans Fest next year, I won’t be able to meet anyone any time soon.
