Falcon: “don’t ship me with Bucky!!”

Toxic shipping has been around for as long as I can remember – And it’s almost always pushed by crazy women fetishizing male bonding as homosexuality. I’ve sort of wondered what’s behind this phenomenon, especially when guys who like female couples don’t really do this. It might be that heterosexual romances in most media are either done not very well or are just underdeveloped, while male platonic friendships portray a depth of trust you rarely find anywhere else. I think they innately want that for a relationship IRL, hence, they project that onto certain characters, insist they must be gay and push this view as canon even when it demonstrably isn’t.

I think these shippers should just get on a ship and ship themselves to another country then get a life.
