The entire cast from FF7 are great.

As for the buster sword its pretty good when its fully powered but the stinger has better abilities and bonuses.

My favorite game characters of all time are from the final fantasy games. Except maybe 9 or the two MMOs.

Hello @Sajjux, thank you for asking me. My favorite characters are the following:

    1) Riku from the Kingdom Hearts series: At the beginning of the series, Riku is the anti-hero of the story and rival to the main character of the series – Sora. However, after being nearly taken over by the main antagonist of the first game, he realizes the error of his ways and changes from an anti-hero that worked for the villains to a hero that uses the darkness to fight for the light.

    2) Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2: It is my favorite video game of all-time. Arthur’s story is a heartbreaking tale of family, survival, and vengeance. The van der Linde gang’s story is an action thriller tragedy that results in each character’s fall from grace as the story progresses. As for Arthur, he is the glue that tries to keep everyone in his gang together but it comes at a price for him. Nevertheless, he helps not only his gang but NPCs who need a helping hand through side missions. Not only that, but he changes from the right-hand man of Dutch van der Linde to an individual hero that saves members of his gang based upon his own ideals. I recommend RDR2 highly because of the main character of Arthur and his story.

    3) Itachi Uchiha from Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series: A villain of the series that turned out to be a spy and hero of the Hidden Leaf Village. Based upon the anime and manga of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, Itachi is a flawed character that carries the burdens of the ninja world on his shoulders in order to protect his brother, Sasuke. However, his brother hates him for killing their clan known as the Uchiha clan. With that being said, if Itachi did not kill his family clan then a war with his village and his family would produce a coup d’etat and possibly a world world with the other nations. So, he is also considered one of my favorite characters.

I may have more favorite characters in the future, but you get the idea from these three characters what I look for within a particular character to become a favorite. I hope this answers your question and I see you in another discussion in the near future.

Hello @Hazu, thank you for your reply. Arthur Morgan is one of my favorite characters as well. I have not played the Witcher series as well as the Mass Effect series. So I cannot give an opinion of Geralt and Garrus, but I appreciate your selection of favorite characters. Why do you like each of these characters?

Hello @Kenny_Cartman, thank you for your reply. I appreciate your selection of favorite characters and your images of each character. As I said with Hazu, I cannot give an opinion on Legion because I have not played Mass Effect. Nevertheless, I have played Final Fantasy X and Sir Auron was an amazing character with an amazing character arc. I appreciate his role as a mentor to Tidus and Yuna. I have heard of Lara Coft but never played a Tomb Raider game.

I’ve always loved Lara Croft. Thankfully the new games are great too, though I can still play some of the older games.

I’m also a HUGE fan of the Legacy of Kain series and the characters of Kain and Raziel. And all the Lovecraft vibes? Freakin’ incredible! The series is even an influence on how I handled vampires in my novel. I’d give anything for a damn series revamp with todays gameplay.

Now I gotta go dream and drool over Things Which Will Never Be……

      Dante – devil may cry

DMC 1 Dante showed signs of his proper form that eventually came along in dmc3, the true dante , dmc2, however, had little to no charisma or memorable traits to him

some prefer Vergil because of his more bad boy personality but for me, Dante has a less dark tone to his character as well as getting the job done, i mean he is still alive and always seems to have that upbeat attitude compared to a warpath even when he needs to dig deep, I do like Vergil but his track record isn’t good in terms of successful outcomes with Dante and other characters in the franchise

      snake – metal gear solid

its a double if you count big boss version and the clone one from the metal gear solid first game onwards, again he keeps calm in very bad situations, apart from maybe metal gear solid but it’s understandable with his brother involved and his mentor being killed, so emotion was higher, i wasn’t a fan of the metal gear solid 5 big boss, mainly because he had little to no dialogue and the supporting characters showed more narration and story involved …anyways back on track

gets the job done no matter what and how many people are whining at him, 1 man army, needs no more to be said really

      comedy value
      gogandantess – onimusha 2

cheesy yet funny, kinda guy you would get along with due to his over the top theatrics and self arrogance if u haven’t heard of him, youtube and you will see what i mean

Oh, right, Riku. Good character. I still havent played KH3, waiting for that “final mix” retail release or something similar with dlc together or at least Re:Mind with a good discount to start playing. I am very patient.

Haven’t played RDR2 or Ninja Storm series. But Itachi is kinda cheating, haha. He is manga character originally, but ok, I do see what kind of characters you like.

Btw, are Ninja Storm series better than anime in regards of the story? In anime there is a LOT of filler and that’s why I stopped watching it back then and started reading manga.

Niko Bellic by far and the GTA 5 characters.  GTA is the game that got me back into gaming after 20 years of not playing games.  The open-world aspect of the games is phenomenal and the storyline pulls you in.  The game is only going to get better too.  I can just imagine GTA 20.  It will be all virtual reality and so lifelike you won’t know it is a game.

GTA V really makes you wonder if life, in general, is just a simulation.

My favorite character is Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 (see profile pic) I love RPG’s as these are story driven games and the majority of these are deep and involving. The original dragon warrior and final fantasy for the nintendo got me hooked to the genre and I still love it today.

There are no succinct words enough to fully justify just how amazing this character was, so here’s a two hour essay instead:

Kreia sought to push you to challenge your own biases and preconceptions on not just Star Wars and the light/dark dichotomy, but on your own belief system. She was like a stern parent trying to teach you the greatest gift one could impart: Question what others say, and learn how to think for yourself (though, yeah, she had a pretty strange way of going about it).

KotOR II wasn’t just a nihilistic deconstruction and subversion of expectations: It was a reconstruction to give you a new perspective.
