    I’m finally done.

I thought I was done when I refused to see Rise of Palpatine but a part of me clung to a glimmer of hope.

I’ve been very resistant to signing up to Disney+, I watched the Mandalorian at my brother’s house and I’ve only seen up to season 2 episode 1, I see the quality but I couldn’t help but be annoyed that the Krayt Dragon scenario was very similar to Kotor 1…too similar because your just reminding me of better times but I’ll admit it was much more cinematic than a early 2000s game could do.

Everytime something good sparked my hope Kathleen “Karen” Kennedy known to me as KKK and her gang would swoop in to ruin it with all the other Twitter nonsense, Twitter is worse than a Nuke, at least a Nuke cancels instantly but Twitter takes pieces of you slice by slice.

The US election has emboldened these crazies, I’m sick to death of entertainment being infiltrated by real world politics than those people making everything political to go on a rampant attack on anyone who doesn’t conform, why does America have to make everything political?

So I finally give up on Star Wars, I still love the old games, Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, Outcast, Academy, Kotor but I’m done hoping.

I don’t see hope here anymore.

Your feelings are honest and true, and I see no reason not to embrace it.

All I will say is, however, that there is still Star Wars out there. If you haven’t done it, find a way to get your hands on EU books without Legends tags and enjoy some real Star Wars that held true to Lucas’ vision of that Galaxy Far Far Away. And I say try and find ones not tagged as Legends, because then you aren’t giving money to Disney. In the past few weeks I’ve personally proven that’s possible, and with new not used copies, no less. And I didn’t spend a fortune, less than $20 on each book (they were hardcovers). Yes, reacquiring the Thrawn Trilogy will be more expensive as hardcovers, but that’s money I’m willing to spend. No one else needs to get a hardcovers like me.

As I said in my videos today, in between rage mode rantings, buy real Star Wars stuff. Don’t buy Disney Star Wars. Show them your rage and anger by putting your money into real Star Wars, not their utter trash.

The problem with buying anything Star Wars, is that the royalties/money still goes into the Disney coffers.

So instead of purchasing “NEW” items, go the “USED” route.

There are still plenty of used bookstores where one can get pre-“LEGEND” items.

Used yes that’s a great idea, just like what That Star Wars Girl said on a stream “I can still go back and watch what came before” so yeah i should just focus on the old.

    Used only.

Half priced books used to carry the EU books. I havent been there in a while so I cant tell you if they have any now.

    Same.

The Last Jedi (and really, the Disney Trilogy as a whole) burned me hard, but it didn’t totally kill Star Wars for me.  Like you, I still held on to some hope.  With The Mandalorian, finally things were starting to look up.  But after Gina Carano’s firing, I’m done.  Completely done.

I’m the kind of person that would spend hundreds of dollars a year on Star Wars Legos, action figures, books, etc.  They are no longer getting a cent out of me until Lucasfilm totally cleans house, starting with that bitch at the top.  I’m done.

After The Force Awakens i had this nagging feeling that it wasn’t quite right, i kept trying to explain away my concerns but Starkiller Base was so completetly rediculous.

So your telling me this base can somehow absorb a sun without causing it to blow up and fire a massive blast that splits into multiple beams mid transit with pinpoint accuracy…fuck off JJ, and lets not even get into the fact a small militant organization somehow had the means to make it in the first place, people couldn’t build that you’d need an army of droids which means you didn’t need to recruit humans for your army you could’ve just had droids make Battle Droids….

So when TLJ came out i was running out of excuses but still willing to give it a chance, “this it Star Wars stop trying to have a problem just sit back and enjoy it” i said to myself…after leaving the cinema i talked to my brother for the next hour about all we could remember, the next day we started looking on YouTube…it was so much worse than i remembered.

In the end i think many of us can agree, Disney can’t do Star Wars.

    No.

    No it can’t.

    But you know who can?

    Timothy Zahn

    Troy Denning

    James Luceno

    Aaron Allston

    …and a host of others.

THEY know how to do Star Wars.

The Karen Travis Clone Wars books were some of the best pieces of the CW era.

Then when they made the cartoon they were ignored.

“I’m not brave enough for politics”

    – Obi Wan Kenobi

If there is a separation between Church and State there should also be a separation between entertainment and real world politics.

Eventhough there is some good stuff on the Disney canon (like Jedi Fallen Order, Rogue One and The Mandalorian) the best parts of Star Wars are in the Legends continuity.
