im currently playing kingdoms of amalur re-reckoning
it’s a good rpg with a mix of old school and modern aspects. But right now I’m level 12 and I’m already a little tired lol i wish I could ride a horse or something… it’s getting super repetitive… and there are so many similar side quests… oh well, hope i can finish this asap and move to the next game on my backlog…
I refer you to my post here: https://www.geeksandgamers.com/topic/my-unique-review-of-horizon-forbidden-west/#post-265779
Other than that. I have been playing mostly renpy games the past two years. If anyone knows what those are. you get a gold star. :) And you also are a degenerate like me.
I can’t tell whether this is serious or not. Whether it’s made for content or just trolling.
https://www.axios.com/video-games-extremism-f50a825e-b5b5-4008-905a-23ef847a85ee.html
Far-right extremists are a growing presence in gaming, researchers have found, while the industry’s hidden metrics, lackluster content moderation and head-in-the-sand attitudes get in the way of assessing and combatting the problem.
Why it matters: Gaming and game-adjacent platforms have grown into some of the largest entertainment industries in the world, leading to massive opportunities for recruitment and organizing by extremist groups.
A December 2021 report from the Extremism and Gaming Research Network (EGRN) found that innovative efforts to prevent and counter violent extremism in gaming spaces are “nearly undetectable.”
State of play: Extremism in games is “a growing threat,” Alex Newhouse, the deputy director at the Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism, said in a Games Developers Conference talk last month.
“Games are becoming increasingly social … those social hooks provide the structures and the infrastructure for extremists to organize, mobilize and spread their hateful and extreme ideologies,” Newhouse said.
What’s happening: In games stretching from military shooters like Call of Duty to open creative environments like Roblox, extremist groups spread abusive messages and foster relationships.
Experts like Rachel Kowert, research director at Take This, have found that games can create unique relationships due to the cooperative, stimulating experiences they present. “Friendships are closer, long lasting and form faster than in other spaces on the internet,” she told Axios.
Newhouse said it was relatively easy to find signs of neo-Nazi, and far right fascist groups on Roblox, Discord, games marketplace Steam and other platforms.
Since much of the player data is private, researchers say they lack detailed knowledge of which games or platforms extremists use most for these activities. Nor, according to Kowert, has there been overt cooperation with many studios to share that data.
It’ll be Halo’s 21st anniversary this year, and I make it a point to replay the Halo saga every seven years (if you consider yourself a Halo fan but are asking yourself, “Why seven?” then bad, bad, bad, shame on you!).
Got myself Master Chief Collection on PC and just played through Combat Evolved (Classic mode) again for the umpteenth time, amazing how well it still holds up despite being officially retro/vintage at this point. Though it was a bit of a sci-fi cliche even at that time, “the Flood,” is still one of the best twists in a video game because of how perfectly they built up towards it and completely changed the pace and tone of the game. I take an odd sort sense of joy and envy in watching newcomers react to it for the first time (I remember introducing one my younger sisters to the Flood, she admitted she was scared shitless and would’ve stopped playing if I wasn’t playing co-op with her).
Playing Skyrim when I’m high. Killing as many towns-folks as I can and attempting to stuff them all in my cellar of one of my homes. What a great game. ; P
Hi guys. Has anyone already pre-ordered Stalker 2? I’m really looking forward to the game, but I don’t know whether to buy it now or wait… I just bought a pre-order for cyberpunk earlier, the game turned out to be unfinished, as you know. I didn’t get anything good except desktop wallpaper
the game looks good, if it’s your kind of game and you really want to play it asap, go ahead. ;)
I heard the game is very scary. I played all metro games and they’re very good, this Stalker 2 reminds me of metro exodus. In fact I heard some devs worked on both franchises.
I have a huge backlog, so I won’t buy new games for now… but I will definitely pay attention when Stalker 2 is on sale.
These are the games I want to finish this year. haha
:x

Perfection.
I finally downloaded Destiny 2, which so many are talking about right now. But if you didn’t like the first part of Destiny, you won’t like the second part either, because the guys at Bungie Studios decided not to break something that seems to work pretty well, and left the game without critical changes. But I was just thrilled with the first part so I liked the second one a lot. I even turned to https://lfcarry.com/d2 for various additions to the game that would be even more interesting to play.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage – Official Reveal Trailer | Ubisoft Forward 2022
Sep 10, 2022 Ubisoft has fully revealed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a new action-adventure game in the series focused on stealth and parkour. Revealed as part of Ubisoft Forward’s Assassin’s Creed Showcase, Assassin’s Creed Mirage casts you as Basim Ibn Ishaq and is set in the city of Baghdad, twenty years before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
@Helen09 : I got Destiny 1 to play with my brother, but I didn’t like it very much. I got Destiny 2 and it was not great until Forsaken and The Dreaming City came out, I played it a LOT then for about a year probably. It was great in that era of the game, the Forge stuff was kind of cool too. But, then they changed things and ruined it. It’s all garbage now imo. I quit playing long ago. Personally, I have never been much of a fan of Bungie. Never cared for Halo much, I have 5 of the games but really only liked Halo Reach because of the Cop-Op horde mode Firefight, that was fun as hell. I am NOT a competitive multiplayer person, I frankly hate it, so that is part of why I don’t care for Halo so much. I’ve always found Bungies “floating” jump mechanics stupid.
