Does anyone else find the u-tube has a problem with their ads/commercials?

    I don’t pay u-tube to not show ads but…

…recently I have been watching some vids on u-tube (10-12 minutes in length) where the ads/commercials were gonna be over 45 minutes!

    WTF!

If not for the “SKIP” option after the six-second countdown on alot of the ads, I would abandon the vid.  Sometimes the 10-20 second clip does not have the SKIP option, but a 45 minute informercial?

Also, I have found the u-tube has been also decreasing the volume on certain channels/vids.

    How do I know this?

I watch one vid… no problem with volume levels (vid any any ads).

Next vid, I have to increase the volume level to hear, then the ads BLARES loudly.

Following vid, volume has to remain high to hear – any ads BLARES loudly.

But the one after that I have to turn the volume back down – any ads are of normal volume too.

Are they doing this to piss of users?

    Piss off certain content creators?

    Prevent views on certain vids/channels?

Yeah I find it very annoying that the ad would be longer than the video if it weren’t for the skip option. And then you see the add is 1 of 2. lol

I have also seen than some of the ads happen within the last 20 seconds of a vid.

It is almost like they WANT you to leave the vid early.

Someone who has an active/monetized channel, how does this affect your channel/revenue?

    yap, it’s out of control.

for people like me that like to listen to podcasts on youtube while doing other stuff (multi-tasking, etc. ) it’s very annoying having to go back to the laptop/device from 5 to 5 minutes so we can skip the ads… because if we don’t skip it, they don’t stop. Such bs.

But it is what it is… it’s a huge business now… and we’re all to blame tbh, we all let that happen, google is too big now and we can’t stop it… and we use it everyday (as a consumer and many as a business partner as well, buying ads spots, etc… ) :/

Unless you pay the blackmail (no ads) option to u-tube.
