Which is better, Hollywood or Anime?
Also, what would you rather watch, Hollywood Films and Shows or Anime?
My opinion it’ll have to depend on these:

I would rather watch Anime because my interest in Western Entertainment is starting to decease and I started being aware of the path that Hollywood has chosen in the year of 2019.

I’m not sure I’m willing to put all my money on Japan and Anime, or even the Japanese Cinema industry. I will likely start focusing on buying actual media, compared to digital copies that dont have DRM in favor of the customer. They have been considering taming aspects of Japanese society for a while.

This article covers some of the aspects around the Swastika symbol and its meaning in Japanese culture. which is drastically different then the early 20th century Nazi useage of the symbol. In short the discussion and removal of the symbol is around foriegners coming for the olympics in the near future. I believe “Black Pigeon Speaks” made a video on the topic. if I can find it ill add the link.
My main point is, Japan is making consessions for pretty much the same reasons America/Hollywood have. Where will they draw the line? I dont know. Ultimately the best innoculation is physical media. Hollywood or Japan/Anime. I couldnt imagine trying to sensor Takashi Miike, he would have to be banned outright.

Doesn’t matter, as Anime gets more popular and starts having more mainstream live action releases, more normies will be attracted to the medium. When they realize the medium is nothing like those live action movies, they will start bitching until the Anime industry is in the same position the comic book industry is.
You think it’s not possible to take the sex appeal and over the topness out of Anime.
15 years ago, everyone thought that about comic books.

As someone who doesn’t know much about Japan, I’ll say this. And what I’m about is say arrogant from my part, So here it goes and sorry.
I highly doubt that because most Anime is mostly targeted towards the Japanese and Japanese are kinda Xenophobic and Racist towards Foreigners. You can say the Anime Industry is a pro-first consumer. First consumer as in the Japanese.
