How good is the backwards compatibility?

Just wondering about the BC for the new Xbox.
My 360 still works but my OG Xbox has red ringed, ironically.
Is it worth it to buy a new Xbox to play my old games?

I love back compatibility on Xbox One, I play Tom Clancy’s GRAW & GRAW 2 ect all the time. No more frame rate drops when you blow up the fuel trucks👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
