How is the PS5 already sold out?

Not sure if this has happened before but somehow it has worked out that the PS5 has sold out the same time as the price reveal.

I do not think it is possible to get a pre-order right now, so if you wanted to get a PS5 on release you can’t. I wasn’t going to get a PS5 on release but damn, if I was I’d be devastated.

I actually had a preorder which I cancelled when Sony started their campaign of copyright striking channels that spoke unfavorably about TLOU2. I’m instead building a new gaming PC probably by the end of the year after AMD reveal their new line of CPUs and GPUs.

When is the price going to start dropping?
Do you guys think the price will get lower by the holidays?
I really wish to play cyberpunk on the release date but right now the ps5 price is crazy.
