If you were looking for ways to tank your sales I figure this would be one of the most original ideas one could come up with. So you “tea bag” someone, kill them multiple times, maybe you say a bad word to someone not even in the game and BAM! UK police at your door. What could possibly go wrong?
And if you are saying to yourself, well it would only be in extremes cases; I refer you to every problem in current society that people in the 90’s warned about that came true. The slippery slope is no longer a theory it is physical law.
I for the most part play only Single Player games. In fact the only games I play that have any aspect of needing other people sometimes is Co-op in Genshin Impact and the Co-Op section Battlefront II (yes, I still play it once in awhile). I personally hate lobbies and voice chat in games. I don’t like putting up with other people when I game.
But, this is going way over the top into lunacy. We live in a clown world now so not surprised.
I am with you. I mostly only play single player. The 1 or 2 multiplayer I do play I solo and turn off voice chat. I just don’t want to hear it. But yeah, calling the cops on you because of “toxic” voice chat is insane. It is essentially like the game company swatting you.
I’ve still got issues with Ubisoft for what they’ve done to Might & Magic. But their continual bad behavior is disgusting.
I’m assuming you’re referring to the new game that has received a lot of negative news recently. I agree; I doubt it will sell nearly as many copies as the developer hoped.
