I have a love hate relationship with IGN. While I hate there pandering, ass kissing, etc…. They are a spectacular source for game walkthroughs.
Is there a website out there that is really good with walkthroughs? I would rather use a website that doesn’t tow the party line and is respectful to the fans. I know having your cake and eating it too.
I would use gamefaqs but they are lacking in the visual department and hyperlinks aren’t really their thing.
YouTube is pretty much the way to go these days for anything you get stuck on, and if it’s trophy related, sites like playstationtrophies.org has user guides, and subforums offering FAQ walkthroughs on most games. I’m sure there are Xbox equivalents for achievements.
I usually reference fan-maintained wikis, so the domain varies per game (Borderlands, Witcher, Dragon Age, etc).
I don’t typically use a “walkthough” per se, but I often reference wikis for details about a specific quest (what happens if I choose one option vs. another), details about a specific item (list all the possible attributes of a weapon, where it can be found, for example.), maps, and even reported bugs.
Generally these wikis are all about the game, no fluff.
Twinfinite is pretty okay and I’ve found myself using Hold to Reset a few times as well. I’ll try to list out a couple I’ve used for various walkthroughs and wiki’s
Prima Games
Fextralife
Neoseeker
GamesRadar
If I can think of more I’ll be sure to add them!
Thank you kindly. It is much appreciated.
