Kevin Spacey acquitted of all 9 sex-offence charges
64-year-old Oscar-winner was acquitted of 9 charges, including sexual assault.
What is it all about?
U.S. actor Kevin Spacey, 64, was found not guilty on Wednesday by a jury at a London court of committing sex offences against four men between 2004 and 2013.
So if the acts where done, but the evidence was not there, that is bad.
But if Spacey was innocent all along, and his career was ruined by false accusations, is just as bad, if not worse.
There was to be something done to protect the innocent from being ruined by false accusations. And a better system in place to deal with REAL accusations that are true to find justice.
As it is now, there is no justice for such sex offences/false accusations.
The question is no longer, is there a 2 tiered justice system. The question is now, what are we going to do about it.
They have released more information.
Shortly before reaching the impasse, jurors had asked Wall to summarize the testimony of a man who said the actor grabbed his crotch so forcefully while he was driving to a gala at Elton John’s, he almost ran off the road.
In a cameo appearance, the rock star and his husband, David Furnish, testified by video from Monaco and offered a timeline that cast doubt on the driver’s account. They said Spacey didn’t attend the White Tie and Tiara Ball the year the man said, but had been a surprise guest three or four years earlier, in 2001.
So that makes one of the accusers a potential liar.
A New York jury last year swiftly cleared Spacey in a $40-million US lawsuit by Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp on allegations dating back three decades. Prosecutors in Massachusetts dropped charges when the alleged victim suddenly refused to testify.
This accuser wanted a quick paycheck (hoping a settlement would happen and would never have to go under oath), IMO.
I sense a pattern here.
“My world exploded,” Spacey testified. “There was a rush to judgment, and before the first question was asked or answered, I lost my job, I lost my reputation, I lost everything in a matter of days.”
Guilty till proven innocent is NOT how our judicial system is supposed to work. Yet the media is all about GUILT without evidence!
When he gave evidence, Spacey, who was tried under his full name Kevin Spacey Fowler, said the case against him was weak and that the incidents, if they had occurred, were consensual. He said he was promiscuous, a “big flirt” who had “casual, indiscriminate sexual encounters.”
Being a “big flirt” is NOT criminal.
Being one who had “casual, indiscriminate sexual encounters” might be immoral, it is NOT criminal.
So while he has been cleared in the court case, his reputation and career might be gone for good.
Money talks, bullshit walks.
This is more common than you think.
One of his accusers clearly did it to try and save his star trek show. he waited 30 years to say any thing. We get pissed when women do this, we should hold men to the same standard. Another accuser out right lied and Spacey wasnt even on the same coast as the party when the “victim” claimed to be assaulted. Spacey lost everything before he ever saw a single day in court. His reputation was drug through the mud, his show was taken from us. House of cards was one of his best roles and probably one of the best things he ever did, and they butchered it when they kicked him off. Now he stands a free man, hell Johnny depp wasnt fully cleared like Spacey was and we sing Depps praises to the moon.
Don’t necessarily disagree with OP. False accusations are the norm now, even for people who are not famous.
The reason I post the video below is Kevin went to Epstein Island? Only part of the video that is wild is the MENTAT girl typing out statements of this delegate and also, telling her what to say. Total puppet. She’s not the only one, but it’s just one blatant example.
Just so you know, a human trafficker Epstein used funds to bribe a lot of these people, so this video is not so much about Kevin, but since he went to Epstein Island, it never looks good when a person is pictured next to Ghislaine Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein. Maxwell was Mossad.
Totalitarianism hung so thick in the air at the censored hearing on censorship that RFK Jr. was inspired to speak as only a Kennedy can. Something many Americans hadn’t experienced in their entire lifetimes.
Leading the nauseating brutal obfuscation on the First Amendment, Virgin Islands delegate Stacey Plaskett. Who as a delegate can serve on committees but has no say as to when the full House of Representatives votes on a bill. And as is becoming increasingly common, Plaskett appeared to be told verbatim what to say by a handler like a ventriloquist doll.
Plaskett herself is wrapped up in the web of the Jeffrey Epstein debacle. Apparently turning a blind eye to Epstein and associates International Sex Trafficking Operation quietly fleecing the Virgin Islands. As INSIDER reports “For two decades, Epstein … flexed his political muscles and exerted control in the US Virgin Islands’ halls of power. New court documents show how ….Epstein weighed in on an overhaul of sex-offender laws, considered putting a lawmaker “on retainer,” and made a customs office look the other way by simply buying all 78 staff members turkeys for Thanksgiving.
Post Epstein’s Suicide Cover Up, Epstein’s associates have been quietly buying their escape from harms way.
The toilet paper of record New York Times reported that Apollo Global Management …… co-founder Leon Black paid $62.5 million to the U.S. Virgin Islands to avoid any legal claims tied to a Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking investigation. This follows JPMorgan Chase paying at least $190 million…to resolve its lawsuit accusing the largest U.S. bank of ignoring the disgraced late financier Epstein’s sex trafficking. The bank has denied that it knew about abuses by Epstein, who was a client from 1998 to 2013.”
Plaskett had no issue receiving maximized donations from Epstein who had pleaded guilty 11 years earlier to soliciting sex from a minor. While a consultant on Plaskett’s campaign invited Epstein to two dinners on St. Thomas and St. Croix, according to emails. Epstein swiftly promised he would donate the “max” but said he didn’t want his name attached. At some point in fall 2018, Plaskett visited Epstein at his Manhattan mansion.
This is the woman lecturing 330 Million Americans on the restrictions of the First Amendment. Plaskett would be wise to brush up on the Fifth and Sixth Amendments.
