Kingdom Hearts is a JRPG franchise that combines Disney characters and movies with Final Fantasy games and characters. It is a story normally centered around Sora and his friends (Riku and Kairi). However, the mobile game is meh. It is not a great mobile game because the gameplay in the game is limited. There are story missions, special missions, union cross missions, Player vs Player Coliseum, and event missions. However, if you combine the free sections of this game then the rest is pay to win through microtransactions. Therefore, I want to know if anyone has played the game before and what the members of the community think about it.

The game’s powercreep is not the worst you’ll see in mobile gachas, but it’s still severe. That new, overpowered medal will likely be rendered obsolete next week. Player vs. player isn’t fun at all since it devolves into a whale dominated system, lux to level up eventually scales to a mind numbing degree (though to be fair, after a certain point your character level becomes more of a bragging right thing then anything else). From what I can tell, the playerbase has been really frustrated with the game for a long while now.
If you just want a KH story focusing on your self-insert, then there’ll be some fun to have. But for me, I quit and uninstalled it and feel a lot better for making that decision.

I appreciate your reply to the discussion. I have not quit Kingdom Hearts: Union Cross due to the lore of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. However, I am tried of the pay-to-win model of microtransactions and not have a lot of gameplay content. With that being said, I am also waiting for Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road extension to the game before deciding its verdict. Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road is the origins of Xehanort and Eraqus before they became keyblade masters. Nevertheless, if the game is still bad from a gameplay perspective, then I may just watch the cutscenes on YouTube.

This game is not worth your time because the gameplay is repetitive and there is not a lot to do within this game without spending money for the best medals. It is a fail pay-to-win mobile game and I wanted others to know ahead of time before becoming invested in it. As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I am sad that this game is part of the Kingdom Hearts lore and affects the future of the franchise. The next antagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series comes from this game.
June 16, 2020 at 8:25 pm #163695I play both the english and japanese versions of it. I usually spend about an hour playing it everyday. Im on a group that does raid battles during the raid hour bonus. Cant wait for Dark Road to come out
