Lamar Jackson injured, a surprise?

How is their shock or dismay at Lamar Jackson being out?  I know there is some debate on whether he is laying on the teams leg because of contract, but that aside this is not shocking.  Running QB’s have been getting hurt and had their careers shortened because of how they play.  Vick, Newton, RGIII and so on.  But I remember all the hype about Jackson and how he was different and so on.  But it was just hype, he is not some super human (although one could argue NFL athletes are so superior physically to most folks they are near super human).

I recall back in the day the beatings Steve Young used to take.  He was very productive and probably a better pocket passer than most running QB’s as I recall but I remember many a Saint’s game where we (The Saints) lost but the Dome Patrol would beat the snot of of Young.  I think Young still sees Ricky Jackson in his nightmares.  No different than when Matt Ryan closes his eyes he sees Cam Jordan :P
