Legoland Florida Resort is planning a major expansion of rides and attractions on land being now used for a parking lot, according to a report in GrowthSpotter.
Plans recently filed in the Southwest Florida Water Management District reveal that the Winter Haven park’s parent company, Merlin Entertainments Group, is seeking to clear about 4½ acres of its parking lot to build a new section for its 145-acre theme park.
The application calls the project Legoland Venus.
Conceptual plans show at least a half dozen new rides and attractions, as well as a new 11,850-square-foot building, play areas and picnic tables. A pedestrian crosswalk across Bus Loop Drive would link the new section to the existing Lego Movie World area of the park.
Interesting to see that despite COVID and all of the problems that come with that, Legoland is still planning a new 4.5 acre-expansion. Any theories on what it might be? Any ideas?
Legeland Florida has been doing well, I was working there recently and we still get a lot of people. No idea what it could be though.
