You can’t destroy your biological DNA and be the same person. You’re not only committing suicide, you’re committing genocide on a mass scale.

Sounds an awful lot like…..the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy. Except that ME1 might’ve been worth playing.

That sounds an awful lot like…..the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy……only not as big of a disaster.

Um…not remotely. You are reading one person’s opinion, and while many likely share his feelings of disappointment pertaining to certain elements of the series, I myself and many like me do not. As someone who basically played it all through in one go without years in between or being privy to whatever behind the scenes bullshit may have gone on, I really had little to no negative feelings at all the way FallenOmegaStar seems to feel, and his reasons all seem legitimate from his position, even though I basically disagree. I found the entire story fully engaging, the entire cast of characters memorable and lovable, and because you had some degree of choice freedom, certain events can play out differently along the way, which serves to spice things up and keep it interesting. I really had no problem whatsoever with 90% of the trilogy, and I’ve been playing games for over 30 years now since Atari and NES, so I’ve seen alot.

Do I wish that the ending to ME3 was a little different? Yeah, but it doesn’t make the rest of it all any less enjoyable…all 6 or so times I’ve played it. And I can understand the Andromeda hate, but I enjoyed it for what it was worth, and I really do hope the rumors of a new ME game in the future are true, because I want to go back to that universe for more adventures.

But to even suggest that this series at all resembles Disney Star Wars is incorrect, if you ask me. ME had no agenda that made me sick to my stomach. There was no progressive social justice nonsense that I saw. If you were a FemShep, you fucking earned your badassness. No Mary Sue here.

Now, I didn’t start this thread to debate the pros and cons of ME. Frankly, I don’t enjoy videogame debates, because people tend to draw in so many different factors both from the game itself and outside the game, that unless you are a behind the scenes junkie and like to know all that stuff (which I do not), then the debates can get out of hand.

I chose to remain silent and simply watch what you all were saying whether I agreed or not, but I could not let such slander slide without a comment :)

I hated FF15. It was a button masher fighting game not an RPG.

The FF7r was decent. Im excited for r2 to come out sometime after hell freezes. Knowing my luck it will be a PS5 exclusive and I wont get to play it for 3 years after release anyway. I figure that will be when I can afford the redused price based on the 3 & 4.

Dude I bought that shit on release day. Had it preordered for months ahead of time.

And not an hour after installing it my PS4 crashed during a cutscene. The retarded beancounters haed exploded and froze that way till I figured out how to reboot the system.

I never loaded he game again till there had been a few patches.

Being forced to out the asari pathfinder as the one who sold out her crew was a real slap in the face. There was no viable option for that.

    Ehh, not really.

I know my criticism has likely come off as pretty harsh; I was afraid I may have made ME2 & ME3 sound worse than they actually are. But I assure you, there’s plenty of redeeming qualities to both games. Both sequels were more fun to play as far as combat went (plus much better inventory management), had better character arcs (for the most part) and certain sub-plots (such as the Krogan Genophage) got much better treatment. It’s just easy to get hung-up over the main storyline because that’s what they screwed up on. It’s almost like a theme park where the shops and restaurants are good, but your main attractions just fall flat.

And this was before BioWare went woke (ME trilogy was released between 2007-2012, before SJW nonsense took off). After the backlash to the ME3 ending they released the Citadel DLC, which was almost expansion-like in its content and focused on Shepard’s companions, who were everyone’s favorite part about the whole franchise. It was a real fan service treat that gave fans closure in regards to the party members they had come to love and BioWare’s way of showing that they cared what the fans thought. Something you definitely wouldn’t get from Disney.

I’d still recommend getting the full trilogy, despite everything I’ve said earlier. It’s a gem, just a very flawed one.

Also, while I’m on the topic, I know I shouldn’t judge Andromeda based on bad bugs and animation alone, but I’m pretty sure the game would’ve still been mediocre even if it wasn’t such a disaster at launch (besides, even if the game itself might’ve been low-key about it, I saw enough tweets from BioWare staff to know the company had gone full woke since. Which just makes the professional incompetence even funnier).

I wont disagree it was better than Dragon Age: Inquisition but Brie Larson’s bleeding her period blood onto my balls is better than Dragon Age: Inquisition.  Not exactly a high bar.
Andromeda is still pretty damn bad.
Bioware is a deader than Bethesda, to me, at this point and I have no interest in any project they do going forward.

I think there are like mods that improve graphics and such for pc version, especially for the first ME game. All in one remaster would be nice I guess on physical copy, but not really necessary.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition now rumored for early 2021…still ready to hand over my money.

I love this trilogy but how EA handles the re-releases is disgusting, nomally a Trilogy release of older games contains all DLC, but not with EA, even the New Ending DLC had to be purchased for the trilogy.

If they do that again with the rumored remaster I will not buy.

The MA3 Ending fix was  free download when I got it.

        #195102

The ending fix was a patch not DLC.
