Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster! Take my money!

So some soytastic journalist asked them if they are changing anything to meet “modern” standards and the dev scurts around it. Like saying changing stuff would cost extra money. They said that they did get rid of an ass shot on one cutscne but is that all we need to worry about… we won’t know till the game is released and people comb all three of them.

I really doubt we have anything to worry about. I don’t think even EA and BW are dumb enough to fuck this up. This is basically a Legacy Franchise they are trying to breathe new life into. You have a built in fanbase ready to buy this game, and their good word of mouth will likely get a new generation of people to play it. If you piss off the loyalists, your game won’t sell. They may want to pretend they didn’t see it, but everyone watched what happened with NaughtyDog and LOU2. Bad word of mouth an false advertising will cut the legs out of a game.

Now, yeah you can say, “Roas! Woke assholes never learn! They think they can always get away with it!”

True, but I don’t think this is a case of that. With only 3 months to go, I feel safe in saying this cake is baked, and there is nothing the wokies can do to mess with it.

Now, when I sit down and play through this, if I find things not right, I’ll damn sure talk about it in a video (which I’ll make anyways to write off the purchase). I’m not a blind fanboy. I won’t pretend everything is great if I find something wrong. Now, whether everyone agrees with my take at the time, that will be up to you all.

‘And then specifically around the animations, we couldn’t really change a lot of those, but there were times where you could change the camera to not focus on one of those animations. So a male Shepherd animation would have him sitting with his legs quite wide open with a low camera where, if you were wearing a skirt, it would be a bit unflattering. So we can’t necessarily change that animation, but you can raise that camera up slightly to reduce the problem.’

I know the exact scenes this is referencing, and frankly, it was always weird to see my FemShep sitting like a dude in these moments. It was simply odd. Visually, it was odd, so I don’t see how this is a problem

It’s not just the technology that has aged in the original games though, as it’s hard to imagine the Asari, a species of all-female space Amazons, or EDI’s robot form being created in quite the same way for a new game today. They are popular characters though, despite accusations of them pandering to a male audience, so we were curious as to whether there was any thought to alter their portrayal in the remasters.

‘I do think a lot of things have evolved since [the original games] but I don’t know if I would say we were ultra-concerned about it or anything like that, but there were considerations’, admits Walters.

‘Kevin actually called out some camera cuts that were just… why was that focusing on Miranda’s butt? So in some cases we said, ‘Okay, we can make a change there’. But ultimately, to change an entire character model or something like that wasn’t really… it was a decision that was made as part of many creative decisions and just showing it at the best possible fidelity that we could going forward is really the choice for all of the art that we had.‘

Do I think these changes are pointless? Yes. Does it really change anything if I can’t see Miranada’s genetically perfected ass as the focus in the split second of a scene? Eh, I dunno. I’m always looking at her boobs first anyways, being a boob man and all.

As for the “things have evolved” nonsense, meh. Fucking beta cuck simps trying to talk their way around the fact the game is filled with dozens of sexy ladies. They are embarrassed because they know they can’t change it and want to virtue signal, but the game is locked into existence as it is.

Still not worried. I’ll play my next MaleShep design, then my next FemShep without any hesitation.
