Depending on the screen time of that blue hair non-binary chick, I will decide if I’ll watch it or not lol xD

Yep. The cast does not stand out to me much. Like someone else said, none of the sequels really measured up. I only posted thread due to the first Matrix movie making such a massive impact. Lately, I’ve been trying to read fiction that deals with VR and the Metaverse and the Matrix dealt with that 20 years ago, so at this time, I’m reading Neal Stephenson and a series called Otherland by Tad Williams. Not into either one yet though. In the modern era, Ready Player One was far more visionary. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Novels_about_virtual_reality

I would’ve liked that the original trilogy was a firewall and this new matrix was the actual one and the original cast returning was a trojan horse to get neo nerfed in some way and relearn old tricks and new in this film.

But since Morpheus isn’t in this film, I think this new Matrix is continuing from the MMORPG from back in the day.

loving that this is coming out in the same era as Metaverse

Resurrections is a reboot program within a construct. I believe that they are training Neo to become the seventh one to reiterate his program back into the Matrix.

Theory: The Matrix stores a backup of your code every time you jack in. This is essentially the digital you. At least Zion both probably the Machines and Exiles as well have probably found a way to access these backups and “Resurrect” digital versions of people from this code.

The resurrected code, however, needs a host. Of course Agents were always able to do this, and so this code can do the same – hijack anyone plugged into the Matrix. The Machines know how valuable Neo’s code is and discover they can effectively hide and subdue it by keeping it in a Bluepill host. They potentially do the same to Trinity. After being hidden into a Bluepill host, Neo’s memories are suppressed but the host he’s in knows something is not right and Neo is slowly gaining control of his host and getting memories back.

Morpheus is dead (killed in MxO). Zion has his code, however. In the Animatrix Zion had experiments to reprogram Machines to by sympathetic to humans. The “fist bump” machine is most likely one of those and have probably been helping and giving access for Zion to some of this tech. They use it to put Morpheus’ code into nanobots which might be the only way for him to take over a host and jack in. Zion not only finds Neo and Trinity’s code but also discovers their bodies have been repaired and are plugged in (not sure why).

Neo and Trinity are told they are just code by Zion and that there may be a way to reunite the body with the mind and live again in the real world. They need to find whatever is using their shells or wherever their shells are and hijack them back. Bugs at some point lets Trinity use her as a host to aid in this. It’s possible that Morpheus lets Neo hijack the nanobots. Not sure on the details, but essentially Neo and Trinity are trying to reconnect with their true selves and are potentially hopping around others that are connected to do it.

MEANWHILE someone or something is also piggybacking on Bluepills to try and stop them. I imagine the Machines (or an exile) studied Agent Smith’s viral code and created their own version as a weapon, allowing them to control many hosts at once without relying on individual hopping like the agents.

Fun fact: they got the original black cat from Matrix 1 to reprise his role for the new Matrix 4 movie. The producers had a long contract negotiation with the cat’s manager but they finally got him.

The black cat in Neo’s hand have a deep meaning, instead of being a bad Omen “Deja Vu”, holding it in his hands means there’s total control over the situation, also the red pills knows that the anomaly is inherent to the source, that means they’ve been trying to find it because there’s no way for the source to get rid of it, perhaps the guy in the car is the “Agent” pursuing Neo, the old CTR TV resemblance the Architect’s Den Tv’s where Neo have seen he’s life and the possible choices that he and is predecessors have made until irrationality kicks in and now he understands he’s a program he can gain control over the Source just saying.

This may be a reach , but evidence I’ve seen leads me to believe that this Matrix is going to be a “Multiversal Matrix” Movie with variants of characters throughout the several different versify the Matrix that exist simultaneously in this movie. The anomalies Neo, and Trinity are going to merge all of the different versions/Matrix universes into one main Matrix, and will set up the next film(s). It seems to me that there is a “Rogue Matrix” that in my opinion is going to align Deus Ex Machina as an ally with Neo and Trinity. Resurrections. It may even be an older version(s) of the Matrix that have been rebooted by some Rogue machines or Programs to which Johnathan Groff’s Smith is the architect of. To me the fact that the machines resurrected and healed Neo and Trinity means the machines need them for something and the machines are now gonna be on the side of the good guys but in the ant-hero role they had in Revolutions when they shared a common enemy with Smith. It’s all coming full circle. The fact that Morpheus is seemingly built by the machines is the machines giving Neo allies to help him in the simulations.

Like I said it could be a reach but it really feels like this is the route they are going with the movie. I hope I’m right because this is gonna be awesome if I am.

The Matrix Resurrections – Official Trailer (2021) Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss

From visionary filmmaker Lana Wachowski comes The Matrix Resurrections, the long-awaited next chapter in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. The new film reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they made famous, Neo and Trinity.

In The Matrix Resurrections, return to a world of two realities: one, everyday life; the other, what lies behind it. To find out if his reality is a physical or mental construct, to truly know himself, Mr. Anderson will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more. And if Thomas…Neo…has learned anything, it’s that choice, while an illusion, is still the only way out of–or into–the Matrix. Of course, Neo already knows what he has to do. But what he doesn’t yet know is the Matrix is stronger, more secure and more dangerous than ever before. Déjà vu.

Reeves reprises the dual roles of Thomas Anderson/Neo, the man once saved from the Matrix to become the savior of humankind, who will once again have to choose which path to follow.

Moss portrays the iconic warrior Trinity… or is she Tiffany, a suburban wife and mother of three with a penchant for superpowered motorcycles?

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (“Candyman,” the “Aquaman” franchise) plays the wise and worldly Morpheus who, as always, serves as a guide to Neo while also fulfilling his own greater purpose on a very singular journey of self-discovery.

Jessica Henwick (TV’s “Iron Fist,” “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”) plays the hacker Bugs, the proverbial white rabbit on a mission to discover the one who sacrificed himself for humankind–and willing to take any risk necessary in search of the legend she idolizes.

Jonathan Groff (“Hamilton,” TV’s “Mindhunter”), plays Thomas Anderson’s business partner, a slick, confident corporate type with insouciant charm, a disarming smile and an eye on the bottom line–everything Mr. Anderson is not.

Neil Patrick Harris (“Gone Girl”) plays Thomas’ therapist, working closely with his patient to understand the meaning behind his dreams and to distinguish them from reality.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas (TV’s “Quantico”) plays a young woman with a wisdom that belies her years and an ability to see the truth, no matter how murky the waters.

And Jada Pinkett Smith (“Angel Has Fallen,” TV’s “Gotham”) returns as Niobe, the fierce General who once fought for the survival of Zion and who now sees to the welfare of her people with a familiar fire in her eyes, despite a sense of disbelief and suspicion upon Neo’s return.

Lana Wachowski directed from a screenplay by Wachowski & David Mitchell & Aleksandar Hemon, based on characters created by The Wachowskis. The film was produced by James McTeigue, Lana Wachowski and Grant Hill. The executive producers were Garrett Grant, Terry Needham, Michael Salven, Karin Wachowski, Jesse Ehrman and Bruce Berman.

Matrix Resurrections arrives in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021.

MATRIX 4 – Official Trailer 2 BREAKDOWN! Easter Eggs & Details you Missed! Resurrections
    Matrix Explained

    comms

Plus more games(unreal engine) and comics coming our way too. I also hope they build a VR simulation for people to experience the matrix for themselves.

Im really starting to think that the movie is showing us something like the concept of the movie Inception. the fact that there are operators in the matrix instead of the last movie where they were in the real world and that the movie the matrix is playing in the theater says to me that what we are seeing is the just another level . Trinity has 5 other versions when shes shouts i think thats what she looks like in each versions. same with neo same with all the characters its the same thing just one level deeper than the last . The Architect said this was the sixth time we have destroyed Zion that may be true as each version has been destroyed. non the less the deeper trinity and neo go into the rabbit hole/matrix the closer they are getting to the actual real world, one that none of us have seen yet

Theory …My understanding is that “the One” is a systemic anomaly that changes the algorithm of the Matrix when choice is presented. It’s interesting that this is the 7th iteration of the Matrix, being that the number 7 alludes to completeness. My thinking is the anomaly is fully expressed by 3, Neo/Trinity/Smith, each I believe have part of the code.

Doesn’t look to me like there is a matrix within a matrix. Looks more like Matrix has been reset after Neo’s death, with some of the code being copy-pasted in the new version just like humans do to save effort. The scenes from Neo’s life in the earlier matrix were shown as a movie in this new matrix version, to confuse people’s memories with scenes from the movie and prevent suspicion.

Humans and machines are co-dependent. As Matrix 2&3 clearly stated, humans cannot live without machines (homo habilis) but thinking humans can control the machines is an illusion. Matrix 3 ended with a new entente between Man and Machine. I hope the new Matrix film progresses what was done in the previous films; that would be awsome. If it renegues in some way of the past it will be awful.

I can’t bring myself to being hyped for this, especially with the mediocre releases of modern Hollywood films. BUT definitely something that piques my interest unlike the movies released this year.

Trailer 2 spoils waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much of this film.  Avoid it if you haven’t watched it yet.

Unreal Engine 5 is said to be future tech that will be used for movies. As graphics become more real, you see that gaming and film are merging. Also, there is a mention of the metaverse. VR will be another step, but for now, the games are still moving forward.
Again, I only talk about this franchise for metaverse reasons. Other films like Free Guy and Ready Player One and BloodShot have that Meta factor where the characters are trapped in a game simulation, so they can either be in two worlds at once or, more likely, have access to any number of worlds. If the Metaverse becomes like these movies and games, it will indeed be a multiverse, where VR will allow player-users to access different ecosystems and different universes that they choose to be a part of.

    Matrix Explained

    This game looks crazy realistic.

From what I can gather, this is what they are using to pitch to the team about developing a game for the Matrix Universe. This is NOT an actual game.. This is what it said in response to searching for this. = “The main sandbox experience in The Matrix Awakens isn’t a game as much as it’s a tech demo that Epic plans to release for developers to build on and replicate. … Libreri imagines a carmaker being able to load the same vehicle it creates for an internal simulation into a racing game or even a blockbuster movie.”

Is this an ad for the metaverse?

“What do they use with no landlines?” This sneak peek from The Game Awards has your answer.

It just shows how far we’ve come in 20 yrs. Operators are now holograms in the matrix and no more phone booths to get out of the matrix. Can’t wait for this

“Nothing comforts anxiety like a little nostalgia.” Meta annnd true!

“Nothing comforts anxiety like a little nostalgia” – this is why they made the new Morpheus the way he looks! He is not the real Morpheus, he is another person, but his aim is to remind Neo who he is, to provoke him, to make him ask questions… because Neo has to wake up again…

The humans took the backdoors and portals from the Matrix and incorporated them into their means of running around while plugged in. Freaking brilliant! No use of phonebooths or cell phones either, which is very curious. I seriously loved every second of this!

MetaMatrix is a cryptocurrency built on Binance Smart Chain (BEP20). MetaMatrix is also a community NFT Marketplace connected with an NFT Launchpad platform. A place where people can seamlessly establish a presence in a virtual world. Within the MetaMatrix environment users will have an access to the upcoming NFT PVP game.

Customize your NFT avatar collection, set up your squad and face other players in the battle royale contests. Earn MTX and potential loot boxes on every match you win. Buy tokenized products, and be part of a vibrant community. The MTX token can be used to buy assets within the virtual reality world you are in.

Another ambitious goal is to allow using your NFTs within the Metaverse. Create avatars for the Metaverse using highly scalable infterfaces provided by our partners. Buy tokenized products, and be part of a vibrant community.

I do NOT endorse it, but it’s just curious to see these concepts and ideas come together.    —>  https://www.metamatrix.network/   <—-

https://www.metamatrix.network/  Reason I post this site is that it adds a layer and another vision of the future in play to earn games that one day are supposed to be just like how some people can make a living as youtubers. I also like that the Metaverse is honing in on The Matrix, as the ideas go hand in hand is terms of crossover. It does feel off by a few years and maybe even a generation, but you can see it.

Also, just a footnote, but I like how The Matrix and GeeksandGamers both have the same color scheme of Black and Green.

Epic Games made an interactive Matrix experience to show off its upcoming Unreal Engine 5. We sat down with the two stars of the demo and the Matrix movies, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss, to talk about how technology is blurring the line between what’s real and virtual, what to expect from the new Matrix Resurrections movie, and a lot more.

I Finally Watched The Matrix Trilogy! | Quinn’s Ideas
    Quinn’s Ideas

So… I finally watched the Matrix Movies. I loved the first one, the other two had some pretty big issues though. I decided to give my thoughts on the movies, if you guys like this video, maybe I will review the new movie

    comms

One of the things I’ve come to realise with Matrix is that there was no intention of leaving you with all the answers. It’s a bit like Inception in that way. There’s a leading theory that Zion is yet another layer of the Matrix, yet another layer of control which is fascinating to consider.

Compare and contrast the Matrix with the film, “The Thirteenth Floor,” which also dealt with a VR world, and came out the same year as the first Matrix film.
And as many are saying here, the Animatrix of short Matrix scenarios is very cool, and much better than the two sequels.

Zion, characters as well as the additional universe were supplemented with the pre-release of the Animatrix, artwork, games and materials. There was a lot interwoven where you don’t get the full picture without more of the pieces. This was timed pretty cool as a fan along with the Matrix Online game after the third movie for the fans to carry the story on themselves with game developers.

Review embargo has lifted, and they’re all over the place.  Multiple people are comparing it to The Last Jedi (uh oh), while others have even invoked Gremlins 2.  The discussion over this film is going to be something special.

    @xdax calls it.

I saw it yesterday. SPOILERS: 1. the leaks from months ago are true. 2. Neo is in a version of the matrix where he is a video game developer for Warner Bros. where the first three Matrix movies are video games to which he and his team are now tasked to make a Matrix 4 videogame. 3. Neo has mental issues where he has flashbacks from the previous movies but he thinks he is just overworked and not stable 4. Neo codes the fourth game but resultingly codes loops and alterations into the very Matrix he is in, 5. Trinity and Neo’s bond is some kind of “super energy bond” that gives the machines somehow even more power (ridiculous). 6. the fight scenes are lazy and horribly edited and horribly shot. you dont know whats going on during the action scenes. Also, the movies constantly throws these short snippets of the first movie at you, just like you see in the trailer. There is ZERO subtelty in this piece of shit film. The identity of Jonathan Groff’s character as Agent Smith is thrown at you with the same snippet as it is in the trailer, just out of nowhere during the first half hour of the movie. It’s atrocious. I am honestly still in shock what kinda garbage Warner Bros. actually greenlit. This movie for me is the purest example that the Wachowski’s just had luck with the first movie and thats it.

The Matrix Resurrections SOUNDS TERRIBLE From These Negative Reviews

    another comment

Matrix fans know Neo wasn’t “the one.” It was a lie from the machines. He passed that anomaly code to Smith, Trinity and one more person. But negativity pays in super chats I guess. Unfortunately the actors are human and may get trolled into this fake outrage. But then again, I get why the hate is there. But as for the story and lore of the Matrix, Resurrections makes sense. The machines want to control Neo and Trinity so they don’t have to keep rebooting the matrix. Neo did put his code into Smith and Neo. Now one more person has the anomaly code. I still like the lore. I can’t turn a blind eye to that. Keep fighting for what you believe in though. I agree with what you’re fighting for.

Neo is actually a game developer that made the main character in matrix resemble himself and his love interest resemble a girl he talked with once in a cafeteria. But somehow the characters he made are now entering his world which might suggest that he was developed by another game developer.
