Movies – General Chat
I was looking for a topic just to say random stuff about movies and didn’t find one, so I took the liberty of creating this one. Feel free to post anything you want to share about movies, like what did you watch last night, etc. :)

Yesterday I watched Barton Fink (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101410/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0) by the Coen brothers. Boy what a ride… I’m still not 100% sure about the ending, but I gotta read some reviews and maybe watch it again. 8/10, Recommended.
Re-watched Man of Steel yesterday. Going to re-watch Batman V Superman tomorrow.
Getting ready for ZS Justice League :D
@Hazu I have the exact same plans this week. Going to watch Man of Steel and BvS Ultimate Edition this week before Snyder Cut on Thursday. This is gonna be a great week.
I actually rewatched Shazam with my cats a couple nights ago 😹
Well, given that I have Man Of Steel and BvS on bluray, guess I know what my next 2 movie nights are gonna be 😸😸😸😸
Can’t wait for the Snyder Cut 😁
Re-watching Man Of Steel
Jor-El has the most perfect description for humans: “A seemingly intelligent population” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Watched Raya and the Last Dragon, and actually enjoyed it. I was glad it had no musical nonsense, because I hate musical’s in animated movies.
I then watched One Night in Bangkok, and enjoy that as well. I watched Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpions Revenge, and it was decent.
About to watch Zach’s Justice League as soon as my food arrives.
A little bout me and cinema: I really dislike Captain Marvel, Thor 2 and 3 (I have ZERO interest in Thor Love and Thunder), & Iron Man 3. I dislike the Disney Star Wars sequel Trilogy, but I like Rogue One. I hate musicals. I love the first 7 Star Trek movies. The Abbrams Trek are ok only, but I really hated Star Trek Into Darkness. Indiana Jones only has 3 movies as far as I am concerned. :)
I’ve been seeing a lot of ads promoting Raya and the Last Dragon, but I was not interesting on watching it because… well, it’s disney and I thought probably has some feminism bs. But if you guys say it’s a good movie, I can give it a shot and watch it with my girl =) i’ll read some reviews 1st just to make sure lol
Watched Raya and the Last Dragon, and actually enjoyed it
Cool, i was already curious about Raya and the Last Dragon, guess it’s on my watchlist now 🐲
Gonna watch Snyder Cut this weekend 😁
I actually like all the Thor movies, and Iron Man 3, my least favorite Iron Man movie’s 2, only thing good about Captain Marvel is Goose 😻
I don’t mind old school musicals, but most newer ones are cheesy AF 🎵🧀
No, it wasn’t full of feminism and “agenda”. I think you could see some if you wanted to, since most of the main characters are female. But, it really only had a message of working together as a people to put aside differences to accomplish something. Granted, I am a person who loves asian culture/things, so I guess it had that going for it right out of the gate for me. lol.
@DarthVengeant thanks man :) I will watch it =)
I also love asian culture hehe that’s why I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years ;D But asian culture is very vast, for example, thai culture is very different from japanese culture or from chinese culture. But I get it. ;)
Usually when I say I love asian culture, I want to say japanese culture, but I don’t wanna offend other countries (like china lol) :D
Cheers
Ya, you are correct. Ok, i’ll say it then…I love Japanese (Nihongo) culture. :)
I call bullshit on the review bombing of Kong vs Godzilla.
Warner needs to be ashamed of itself.
I finally got my VHS player up and running 😸
Watched Digimon The Movie and The Party
Still need to watch Snyder Cut 🙀 Planning movie night with humans is a lot harder than planning movie night with cats 😅
@Terrantheblack, what happened with Godzilla vs Kong??
Big studios/companies can easily hire people to positively rate and review their movies/shows. It happens a lot with disney and netflix, for example.
But I don’t know about Kong vs Godzilla, didn’t watch it yet. All I know is Godzilla: King of the Monsters sucked so I’m not exciting to watch this one…
Btw, watched The Father (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10272386/) yesterday, good movie with an amazing cast. Probably will win the Oscars. 2020 was a bad year for movies (lol). Tenet, The Father and Nomadland were the best movies of 2020, in my opinion.
