@comicsgate The girl playing in that movie, Isabelle Fuhrman, fits the part to a T. It’s great casting. I’ve been meaning to watch the first movie, partly because I like Vera Farmiga. I’ll do that soon before this comes out.

the 1st one is very good, instant classic, imo.

The trailer of this new one looks impressive. Looking forward to watching it. :)

OK, I like the name. It’s catchy. Comments say the trailer gives away too much of the movie, and I was not into it that much, but it has a solid name title.
Wifelike instead of lifelike is a good hook.

Looks quite bad, but Weird Al is a legend. What makes it a bit more zany is that Rainn Wilson is playing Dr. Demento, who is another legend and probably deserves his own biopic. Harry Potter as Weird Al.

    Alexander Winn
The biopic for the most famous parody artist in history, is a parody of all biopics. Absolutely brilliant.

DisEnchanted is the sequel to Enchanted. Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and James Mardsen. First one was legendary.

Fifteen years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan move from Manhattan to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe, who has nefarious intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle wishes that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. The spell backfires, with Giselle rushing to save her family and her homeland of the Kingdom of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.

I’m surprised about the D+ only release. I’m going to assume that they’re doing that because most of this generation probably haven’t even heard of the original film and they know that that might hurt its box office as a result. I really liked the original film and I hope this one is just as good. Not a massive fan of Disney sequels but I hope this is one of the few better ones out there.

@DragonLady Everyone is trying to hook the public on some kind of rental life. The fitness gym used to tell me that their ideal client was the person that would sign up for a year or more, and almost never go, so that the equipment was never used and stuff like that. I think streaming makes sense if you don’t want a ton of DVDs, etc. I’m not even a massive Disney fan, but any company that can make a good movie deserves recognition for it. It’s getting more rare to find a good one. I’m willing to give Disney credit for anything good. In fact, their biggest bomb, John Carter, was a good movie, in my opinion.

Same here. When they do something good I praise them. If they do something very woke then I don’t praise them. I think the last animated film from theirs that I enjoyed was ‘Encanto’.

Never saw Encanto, but there was a time I was really into salsa dancing and Spanish music. I do enjoy parts of that culture.

A full movie below. Have not watched it all yet. This one is Chinese. I watched a Korean one called “Alienoid” the other day and really enjoyed it. May have to look to foreign films to get something good and different.

Watched this very interesting video about the Dark Universe struggling to kick off:

I’ve always wanted a sequel to ‘Van Helsing’. Loved the werewolf and vampire designs on that film. I like to think that ‘Van Helsing’ was the closest that we ever got to a Dark Universe.

About the Monsterverse…peopel forget that the 2014 Godzilla film wasn’t very well received by a lot of people (myself included) and that many said that even the 1998 version was better than that (although I did prefer Godzilla’s design more on the 2014 version though). Still, I would’ve liked to have seen a crossover with the 1998 Godzilla team and the 2014 Godzilla team.

    Dickens Christmas Carol musical comedy.
    I like the title, “Spirited.”
    They are trying.
