Now the Like button has stopped working. It hasn’t been working for a few days now. It’s been replaced with a “Like Button Notice (view)” caption.
*Sigh*
Anyways…I like both the City Of Dreams and The War Of the Rohirrim trailers.
With respect to the latter, I watched a couple of videos to get some background on the story and while it’s based in lore it appears that it’s been infected with the “Girl Boss” virus.
Peter Jackson lost some credibility with the Hobbit trilogy, I hope he doesn’t lose more with whatever this is.
The animation looks great though.
Just know that YOU are waiting for this!!
The one and only Super Man.
Oh yeah!
Soooo…how many ‘Matrix’ references are they gonna shove into this one lol! Also, excellent reference to ‘Akira’ with Shadow’s motorcycle skid there.
A warning…
From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures and starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, “A Minecraft Movie,” directed by Jared Hess, is the first-ever big screen, live-action adaptation of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time.
The film also stars Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (“Just Mercy, “Lisey’s Story”), with Jennifer Coolidge.
Welcome to the world of Minecraft, where creativity doesn’t just help you craft, it’s essential to one’s survival! Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers) and Dawn (Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Black). Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.
Used to see posters and ads for this all the time when the musical was around. I liked the color scheme. After the first trailer, I was curious but a lot of the reactors were VERY “modern audience.” Will be interesting to see how it does. It paid it’s dues for decades, but the thing is, they changed to be some kind of marginalized thing? Seems like that maybe.

After two decades as one of the most beloved and enduring musicals on the stage, Wicked makes its long-awaited journey to the big screen as a spectacular, generation-defining cinematic event this holiday season.
Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart.
The two meet as students at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz and forge an unlikely but profound friendship. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power, while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences on her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfill their destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
I feel like this will be another musical I like ruined by modern Hollywood. If they’d done it 20 years ago (which had been their original intention) I’d be all up for it. Nope, I’m going to watch ‘Gladiator 2’ instead. Far more entertaining.
No Kamala movie?
Would be a huge opportunity for some actress.
The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.
Wanting to get out of Earth, Mickey Barnes signs up to be an “expendable”: a disposable employee where after one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of their memories intact. After one of his “multiples”, Mickey 17, unintentionally survives a human expedition to colonize the ice world Niflheim, he goes head-to-head with a new multiple, Mickey 18.
Appropriate since I’m pretty sure there’s been a couple of Batman clones in the past lol.
I will wait until after the reviews. Have zero interest in it, tbh.
With exploding pagers and Palantir and 5G, I still think that Captain America: Winter Soldier might be the best film ever made, in terms of Predictive Programming. An algo that takes out every threat to the surveillance state of un-elected tyranny.
Worst thing about this trailer is Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who is a billionaire. You would think you would not need to be an attention seeking fame whore, if you came from such wealth, but maybe this is just another way for her to gloat and flaunt and taunt her privilege.
WTF did they do to Bucky??? Poor guy has been downgraded from being a bad-ass on ‘Winter Soldier’ to…whatever this is supposed to be. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Bucky SHOULD’VE been Captain America, NOT Falcon despite Falcon being a cool character.
Mickey 17 looks good – Pattinson’s channeling Joaquin Phoenix in that role.
I’m off the Marvel stuff for now…haven’t even seen Deadpool & Wolverine. Major palate-cleansing in progress.
