Don’t like to say it, but MBJ has big star power, in my view.
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”
“Sinners,” again written and directed by Coogler, centers on twin brothers — both played by Jordan — who return to their New Orleans hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. The feature takes place during the Jim Crow-era.
“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home,” the tagline reads.
Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, and Jack O’Connell co-star.
Kind of has a Black Widow feel to it.
Movie also comes off like Elekra.
Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.
Never seen the John Wick films but I admit to being interested in this. Now I get to point out all the ballet music I recognise in the background lol.
Yeah, ballet is underrated. I never got into it when it mattered, but I’ve watched it like the last 5 years and have newfound respect for it. Centuries of history, it’s own soundtrack, lots of flexibility, diet, and fitness and acting. It’s very holistic.
Next one, must admit, I never got into James Patterson books. Alex Cross is the character.
Never even heard of this. I am curious about almost anything based on a graphic novel, because imo, the best writing is there. Heard Mark Millar talking about all the branches of story-telling occurring these days. The market is expanding like crazy, and yet, the big 2 are struggling. Also heard Gary say that comics are his preferred medium and I kind of tend to agree.
After a deadly snowfall kills millions, Juan Salvo and a band of survivors fight against an alien threat controlled by an invisible force.
Based on the iconic Argentinian graphic novel, The Eternaut will premiere in 2025.
Only reason I might see this is for Pete Holmes who made me laugh with some comedy. Fascinating guy that he was supposed to be a youth pastor, but caught the comedy bug and left and calls himself a “Hooraytheist?” That puts him in the company of Sam Kinison, who was much more aggressive and intense. I like Pete Holmes delivery and facial expressions. Also, the reason this is good to see is, imo, Stand up comics over overlooked for dramatic roles and I think this is a huge mistake on the part of casting directors.
Based on the beloved book, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever centers on the Herdmans – absolutely the worst kids in the history of the world. But this Christmas, they’re taking over their local church Pageant – and they just might unwittingly teach a shocked community the true meaning of Christmas.
Quick Definition of Leitmotif
A short, recurring musical phrase that is thematically associated with a specific character, place, or concept.
Some of his critics say that’s what he’s known for and good at. I have no issue with it at all. I recognized the Superman theme long after I started tuning into classical music more often, as hacked from Planets by Gustav Holst, but I didn’t care because I was so grateful to Williams. Same with like, Loony Tunes, or any animation that would use classical music. You’d think with AI, that we would have more up and coming composers. I heard so many amazing kids on NPR, but imo, the musical scores have declined in quality. Seems like they go with more ambient stuff now.
Agreed. Even Hans Zimmer is going ambient now despite the fact that I still like a lot of his stuff. Good example is his Dune score. Last film soundtrack I got was the 2005 version of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ which was pretty good and I got it earlier this year since it’s something I’ve been trying to get my hands on for the last 20 years lol!
No trailer, but this Stiller movie sounds funny. A comedy on Pickleball.

Gotta say, I don’t like what I’ve seen from the new Russo Bros. project. There is one still shot of Pratt with a rifle and what looks like guys flying on drone packs which looks ok.
The comedy is strong with this one…
Good picks above. Almost posted the Cellar one. Brothers looks good. Good actors in that one.
Never saw the following movie, but I read an amazing article on it and I really love the concept. A movie about STD : Sexually Transmitted Demon.
I did see SMILE and it freaked me out, and they said Smile was kind of influenced by It Follows. This is just so creative and it says something relevant on top of it.
Mostly, I avoid the horror genre, but my respect for it keeps increasing just for the stories and the low budget production creativity.

a college student who’s seeing a new guy, wakes up from a sexual encounter gone wrong to be told that she’s suddenly been afflicted with a strange curse. From now on, until she sleeps with someone else and passes it on, an entity that’s invisible to everyone else will follow her at a slow, deliberate pace, never stopping until it reaches and kills her. The only way out, she’s told, is to pass it on.
