That’s always been the way with me even as a kid, It would have to look really good in order for me to be interested. The last good live-action version of a cartoon that I enjoyed is actually of a anime called ‘City Hunter’ and it’s from Japan and was recently released earlier this year. Despite it being set in current day Tokyo (the original anime was done in the late 80’s) it’s actually still a fun film and there were some aspects of it that I liked…and if you can handle the sex jokes LOL! At least when Japan adapts their anime/manga into live action they’re more faithful to it than say a Western company is to any of our own IPs.
Good to know Dragonlady and Yes,I have indeed heard of that anime, but I have never watched it myself. Even though over the past while I have gotten into the anime shows and I’ve seen a couple of films too. One of the anime companies I quite like is the Ghibli anime company. There anime films are quite good, plus from time to time I have also gone onto some free anime sites to watch some other types. I don’t know if you have heard of the anime site *9anime* at all Dragonlady ?
I’ve been a fan of studio Ghibli for 20 years lol! We actually saw a stage version of ‘Spirited Away’ back in August and it was fantastic!
Hmm, I think I might’ve heard of 9anime. It sounds familiar.
That is good to know Dragonlady. The Studio Ghibli company has brought out many good animes ! I actually have some of them myself
I’m old enough to remember when the original cartoons aired back in the day. In fact, I’m ALMOST as old as the first short ‘A Grand Day Out’ LOL! Glad Wallace sounds very much like his original voice actor and it’s great to see Feathers back!
I unfortunetly don’t remember that cartoon at all,but I do remember some from when I was a kid like: Smurfs, Dungeons & Dragons, Duck Tales, He-Man, the Mighty Hercules, Transformers, Saber Rider, Black Star, G.I. Joe
Charles Dickens embarks on a heartfelt journey to mend his relationship with his son, Walter, by sharing the ultimate story of hope and redemption: the life of Jesus Christ. Through young Walter’s vivid imagination, the story comes to life, from the nativity to the resurrection, weaving themes of sacrifice, love, and eternal triumph. The King of Kings is a visually stunning animated retelling that brings the timeless story of Jesus to a new generation, inspiring faith and wonder in all who watch.
THE KING OF KINGS stars the voice talent of Academy Award-winner Kenneth Branagh (BELFAST), Academy Award-nominee Uma Thurman (PULP FICTION), Pierce Brosnan (TOMORROW NEVER DIES), Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac (EX MACHINA), Mark Hamill (STAR WARS), Academy Award-winner Forest Whitaker (BLACK PANTHER), Academy Award-winner Ben Kingsley (GANDHI), and Roman Griffin Davis (JOJO RABBIT).
Looks like a good animated film
Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson in this? Bold.
An exploration of the epicentre of America’s struggle with opioid addiction, from the boardrooms of Purdue Pharma, to a distressed Virginia mining community and to the hallways of the DEA.
Richard Sackler launches a powerful new painkiller and a rural doctor is introduced to the drug; also, a coal miner plans her future, a DEA Agent learns of black market pills, and federal prosecutors decide to open a case into OxyContin.
Big Pharma. – kick ’em in the balls, kick ’em hard!
Love films like Homestead with moral dilemmas as the primary theme.
And King of Kings….that trailer has the Spirit of so many religious films from my youth. It’s enough to make a grown man cry.
Not gonna lie, the render of Toothless in that How to Train Your Dragon trailer is excellent.
Speaking of live action remakes, there’s another one on the way from the House of Mouse:
Amen on that Maverick. One should never fully trust the Big pharma companies because they tend to lie Big time to everyone. Now, for those 2 films- If I remember correctly *Homestead* had the actor Jason Statham and the King of Kings was a good religious film too. We will never see films like that ever again
Damn it; Disney playing with my weaknesses again LOL! Stitch looks adorable and at least Stitch looks like Stitch unlike poor Flounder.
