    Very true indeed Dragonlady

As a trailer it’s not that bad.  As something that bears the title “Snow White” it’s an abomination.

Not a must see trailer, but I really liked this kind of music. It was geezer music to me, but it wasn’t that much before my time. None of my peers even knew who the Doobie Bros. were and they are probably my all time favorite band.

Funniest thing is, the second video, Donald Fagen saying what genre would that be? As if anyone could ever classify Steely Dan. Steely Dan, to me, was barfly Lounge Lizard noir music. It was swanky. I always think of people who liked detective crime thriller novels when Steely Dan is playing.

Two of my favorite actors are back…

Tim Allen a legend. Just grunting like an animal was funny, but he’s an all time classic great comedian for that routing. Tool Time all based on just a standup routine. Like Gary, Tim Allen came out of the prison system, as did Barry White. Inspirational.

Here’s another one I missed, but it’s mandatory viewing for me. I want to make sarcastic remarks, but this guy is an inspiration.

Unstoppable is the inspiring true story of Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome) who was born with one leg but whose indomitable spirit and unbreakable resolve empowered him to defy the odds and pursue his dreams. With the unwavering love and support of his devoted mother Judy (Jennifer Lopez) and the encouragement of his coaches, Anthony fights through adversity to earn a spot on the Arizona State Wrestling team. But it will demand everything he has, physically and mentally, to achieve his ultimate quest to become an NCAA Champion.

It all looks the same now. It all looks parody. Dune, Willow, Wheel, Acolyte, can’t tell. Don’t care.
    this actually made me laugh.

Based on the international best-selling book series by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time is a visionary fantasy that tells the story of a man destined to face the Dark One and save the world – or destroy it. In Season 3, as threats against the Light are multiplying, Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike) and Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski) embark on a perilous journey to the Aiel Waste to uncover the true fate of the Dragon Reborn. With the Forsaken in hot pursuit and Rand’s corrupted power growing stronger, Moraine must prevent the Dragon from turning Dark… no matter the cost.

Sounds interesting. Love the cast. Trailer does nothing for me.

Two very dangerous young people who, despite the corrupt and lethal world they operate in, find a soulmate in each other.

The Gorge stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Sigourney Weaver, Miles Teller, William Houston, Samantha Coughlan, Julianna Kurokawa, Alessandro Garcia, and more. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Zach Dean.

Gabriel and the Guardians is an anime-inspired fantasy series—a reimagining of the Book of Genesis and other ancient Mesopotamian texts. Along the way, these heroes will discover their true identities and eternal destinies. They will forge a path of light through the chaos in a saga of courage, hope, and adventure

The audio is from Rudyard Kipling’s poem, “Boots”, from 1915. 60,000 British infantrymen marched endlessly through South Africa, capturing settlement after settlement. 22,000 Solders lost their lives. The poem suggests that this psychological torture surpasses even the horrors of Hell itself, as the speaker declares after six weeks of marching that Hell contains no “fire-devils-dark or anything” – only the endless movement of boots. It’s truly horrific and genius to pair it with this film.

28 Years Later, a terrifying new story set in the world created by 28 Days Later. It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

I remember watching the first movie, didn’t bother with the second. But that’s a really good trailer.

Despite the film’s pedigree and predictability it introduces a couple of new elements that’s interesting. May just give it a go.

Stallone is past it, but I think can keep working as long as he does this, which is, cast people like Scott Eastwood and Mike Colter. Good to see Sly giving back, mentoring younger actors. Slowly, Mike Colter, the guy who played Luke Cage and starred in EVIL, the tv series, is becoming a solid actor in my view. He has already starred in two shows that I liked and actually watched, which is super rare for me. Not sure what to say about Scott Eastwood, other than he should have bench-marked Sam Worthington, Joel Edgerton and Hugh Jackman, because he has a similar look.

First movie trailer for Alarum starring Scott Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, Willa Fitzgerald, Mike Colter.

Two spies go rogue so that they can get married, but their remote cabin comes under attack from various intelligence agencies, each looking for a stolen hard drive.

Jack Quaid has a fresh faced look, but I have yet to see him embody a role. A little help here. Who should he benchmark? Maybe a young Tom Hanks? What roles should he go for? He’s in a horror movie and now, this action one. He has a good look for an actor, but I don’t see him in a role that fits him yet. Who does he look like? Maybe try for some nice guy roles that Jim Carrey or Ryan Reynolds had in Truman Show and Free Guy. Jack Quaid looks a lot like Joshua Jackson to me. Maybe a Brandon Fraser. Jack would be good in a Fraser role.

When the girl of his dreams (Amber Midthunder) is kidnapped, everyman Nate (Jack Quaid) turns his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back.

It’s not a trailer,…but a clip from the series…I think it looks cool.

One thing I like about this franchise, is that they almost insist on good writing and good characters. Also, the guys who learn Karate, none of the look macho, masculine, nor intimidating. If anything, they look below average. One lesson is do not underestimate them.

In Karate Kid: Legends, after a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City with his mother. Li struggles to let go of his past as he tries to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn’t want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. When a new friend needs his help, Li enters a karate competition – but his skills alone aren’t enough. Li’s kung fu teacher Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) enlists original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) for help, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging their two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.

Shot very well. The scenes look great. I had an idea for more of a sci-fi war type movie, but maybe share it another time.

Written and directed by Iraq War Veteran Ray Mendoza and Civil War’s Alex Garland, and starring D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith, Michael Gandolfini, Adain Bradley, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman, Henrique Zaga, , with Joesph Quinn, and Charles Melton. WARFARE – In Theaters 2025.
