Hi everyone! I’ve always thought about creating videos for Youtube, and after hearing the G&G and FNT guys give their advice, I decided to take it. So I recorded a thoughts video on Elden Ring which can found in the link/video down bellow. I would greatly appreciate any feedback as I do plan on making more thoughts videos like this and want to get better at it.
My best advice is:
1) Define your channel. Make sure your content is consistent with a purpose. That way those who come by know what they are going to get. People appreciate knowing they are coming to your channel for a known quantity.
2) Choose content you love. Make sure you are covering stuff you truly enjoy. Don’t just do something because it’s popular, do it because it means something to you. When you do that, people will stay with you because your thoughts, opinions, and discussions are genuine. That’s what defines all our channels from the shills: we care about what we cover.
3) Engage with your subs. Build those connections with your subs, especially those first few who jump on board and want to talk with you about your content.
4) Ignore the trolls. No matter how innocent and non controversial you might think what you are doing is, there are always gonna be weirdo SJW and Stan trolls who will find something wrong. If you don’t wanna fence with them and play with them like the retards that they are, then just ignore them and remember they’re the creeps who are obsessing over you for no reason. Just keep doing your thing and only care about what your actual subs want.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll do my best to take it to heart and apply it.
Just made a thoughts video on the Indie game Vampire Survivors. If you have the time I’d appreciate if you could give it a look at my channel on Youtube.
What Roas said, and I will add this.
Have your content backed up on other platforms. Also do not worry about how many subs you have, Literally I was his third sub when he started and I have been unsubbed by Youtube. …. As he said also do not worry about the trolls and especially bots. Have fun with the channel
Thanks! I will certainly do my best to take those bits of advice to heart. I appreciate it!
Uploaded a new video that is a different format than my previous two videos. Trying for a shorter and more structured review style. I’d appreciate any feedback you might have!
