Native American group threatens Washington Commanders with boycott over name change

Native American Guardians Association, has asked the team to change its name back to the Redskins…

    Why?

In its letter to the Washington Commanders, signed by Eunice Davidson, the group’s founder and president, the group points to a poll that found that 90% of Native Americans did not find the Redskins name offensive.

    And what else?

The group also pointed to how other sports teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Blackhawks, have kept their Native American-inspired names while recognizing that the names carry “an obligation of honor and respect.”

But the karens yelling they are racists don’t want to honor nor respect them.

“At this moment in history, we are formally requesting that the team revitalize its relationship with the American Indian community by (i) changing the name back to ‘The Redskins’ which recognizes America’s original inhabitants and (ii) using the team’s historic name and legacy to encourage Americans to learn about, not cancel, the history of America’s tribes and our role in the founding of this Great Nation,” the letter read.

    Exactly.

But those karens want and need to cancel others, their names, their history, their legacy, etc.

As a living culture, it is offensive to cancel them.

And with the history of the Washington Redskins, it was a Native American that gave it the name.  It was a Native American who designed/created the logo.  etc.

This woke attack on history/words/images must end.

And we must reverse and never give in to woke mob BS.

      You know what’s racist?

That a league intertwined with Native American history would drum out any such mention of it because folks not native American have an “issue” with it.

Don’t listen to what these people say.  Watch what they do.

If you stuck your fingers in your ears and could not hear any droning on about racist this or privileged that and you just saw companies en masse removing long time visages of anyone not white.   You would probably figure out pretty quick who the racist actually was.

Also, people think Football is so violent and brutal these days.  Surely this is true to a degree but that is highly uninformed without the contrast of history.  In prior decades I am sure those of us whom are older can recall the game being a lot rougher and at that time players were not independently wealthy.

Hell, check this out.  In 1905 with just a handful of college teams 18 people died playing football. And that was AFTER 1894 where they banned the use of metal plates and protruding nails.  That’s not an exaggeration, read the article.
