I still think points for standings should be adjusted, to reflect the differences between:
This makes winning as soon as possible worth more points.
This makes winning in regulation all that more valuable. And makes every point matter even more.
I like this more than the other option people have been asking for;
As one who dislike the SO, I don’t like giving it the same weight as one would get via OT win.
What do you think?

I’m just surprised at how some teams are doing at this point of the season after the first third is essentially done. The Rangers are currently first in their division – which I am ecstatic about, but don’t expect it to end up that way at the end- and the islanders are in last, which even with the covid and injury issues is the most surprising thing this season. Hopefully this season continues to be interesting and we get some exciting playoff matchups.
