NHL Standing Together During National Anthems for Black Lives Matter

Never thought of it that way.

But if the NHL is the only league who gets to finish their playoffs without having it shut down due to excessive positive tests…. maybe.

It is also the only league that seems to have a concrete plan to play and keep its players/staff safe.

Well tbh NHL and hockey has been a sport for white people and white  supremacists for a long time already. It’s good to know they’re at least trying to change up things

You’re basically answering your own question in your second sentence. But you use that as a reasoning only when it’s about white people dominating hockey but when it’s about black people dominating basketball etc it’s suddenly racism. But many influencers (coaches, pundits etc) in hockey have a very outdated perspective on things, which are sometimes even racist.

Also, black people (in general) have superior physical capabilities, that’s why they suit better as wide receivers

In basketball I believe the reason is simply that it’s a cheap sport which only requires a ball, and black people from poor areas are able to play it and have a bigger drive to get good at it because they see it as their way out of poverty, while richer white kids take it more as a hobby where it doesn’t matter that much if they don’t get good at it.

Again, wide receivers and linemen are often black because of their superior physical attributes. They fit the role better than white people because of how much those positions rely on physique.

And hockey has, as I said earlier, a really outdated perspective on things. Don Cherry is the embodiment of this. The man is completely clueless.

Don Cherry tells the truth, even if poor snowflakes gets triggered by it.

The truth is not POLITICAl, but FACTUAL.

The truth cares not what you are FEELING EMOTIONALLY today, yesterday, not tomorrow.

What other sports has the players from each team, and the end of an elimination game, congrats each other and wish the other team best of luck in the next round, and they have been doing this since I believe DAY ONE!

And if you want to look at players, we have those in Grant Fuhr and Jarome Iginla.  Both Hall of Famers whom the fans did not care where they were born, their religion, their background, the pigment of their skin, etc.  If was their skill and class.

Judge a person as an individual, not as a race.  To do otherwise is to show to everyone who the true RACIST is.

I have heard live events try to have a five-second delay, in order to censor any “naughty” words that might be said.

But even so, I had the NHL web-page on gamecenter and sportsnet radio on to listen to a game.

I swear the delay between on-line updates and the radio feed was closer to THREE-MINUTES!
