We have all sorts of meme threads about stuff we complain about.
How about things we tend to agree with?
I will go first.
And another one.
These are ones I created. If they suck that’s cool.
That was Vera DeMilo. :)
America First Baby…Woo-hoo!
1) Is that Pam Anderson? I think I got the cooties just from looking at the pic. :P
2) WTF IS GOING ON BEHIND HER? Do you see that face???????????????
OK that’s a good one.
I mean the first ever video on MTV was “Video Called the Radio Star”.
LOL!
OK, that’s a good one too.
It’s almost right but not entirely. Swap GenX and Boomers and it’s on point. GenX was where the “soft words” propaganda started. Although GenX would be nice to you in person but on the internet they would tell you that you had more chins than a Chinese phonebook.
Carlin called this out long ago. I did not agree with Carlin on solutions but I agree on his diagnosis of society.
For sure. More of a Boomer thing, but that is correct about online because Gen X would do it just for the laugh.
I happened to meet Carlin right before he died in a supermarket. Never saw him live, but read his books and was a fan. Got to see Robin Williams live, but he was at the end and pretty much in that routine mode, which is fine. Going to standup is like a concert, in that you kind of already know the songs.
Did you see the fake A.I. George Carlin comedy routine called, “I’m Glad I’m Dead?” You can look it up and read about it. Guess his daughter got pissed. It wasn’t Carlin and I didn’t necessarily laugh, but it did kind of push the boundaries of “Deep Fake,” much like Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars, but in audio version, instead. The jokes were very left-leaning, so I don’t know if I ever laughed, but I appreciated the effort. Also, I do think George had a lot of those Hollywood views, regardless, but his genius was in pointing out the Double-think and Double-speak in the language. I think we, as Carlin fans, are fortunate in this era to have the Meme Lords and the Streamers who point out a lot of that.
saw this one
Guess it’s a rip on Me and Bobby McGee by Janus Joplin.
That is so awesome you got to see him. And Williams as well. I loved Robin Williams. You might think it silly but I try to do short prayers for folk’s soul sometimes when they pass. Even if I did not know them. Robin Williams was one. It was a shame to see him end that way.
Carlin was awesome. Did he have lefty views? yes. But he came to those conclusions because he thought about it and was not just parroting things others said. And that I respect. Carlin has pointed out many a societal issue with his comedy. Being funny is somewhat easy. Being funny and profound is a rare art.
