Tina Turner, singer dubbed the queen of rock ‘n’ roll, dead at 83

Singer Tina Turner has died aged 83, one of her representatives said on Wednesday.

She died peacefully after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, her representative said.

Turner began her career in the 1950s during the early years of rock and roll and evolved into an MTV phenomenon.

She was one of those people who successfully recreated herself for a new generation of music lovers.

She was a true rocker. Had that raspy voice like Bryan Adams or Bob Seger.
The rockers loved her. It was called a blue-collar working voice. Came from heavy use.
Best Bond song ever? Hers? I think so.

Aunty explains that Bartertown’s precious energy comes from a subterranean refinery, called Underworld, that turns pig feces into methane.

How relevant is this movie?? This is a movie about an energy embargo and energy trade and look at what the fake environmentalists are doing, they are no different from Master Blaster, making the people dependent on something else.

    And, of course.

What’s LOVE got to do with it?

    Never seen this footage before.
She did consult on Mick’s dance moves, believe it or not.

Clearly she was super talented and to the point where she was engrained in our culture for decades.

Never seen this footage either. Rod Stewart. The world is much different after the lockdown. It’s like this is the ancient past.
She was a really good performer. The live footage might be better than the recorded songs. That is a thing I didn’t really know is that live touring artists many times are bigger than the more well known recording artists. Being a performer is much different than a recording artist.

‘It’s Only Love’ that she dueted with Bryan Adams has always been a favourite of mine. A pity that Tina didn’t join Bryan on his ‘Reckless’ 30th anniversary tour ten years ago but maybe just as well because I would’ve been very star-struck if she had popped up on stage with him🤣!

R.I.P. Tina, you really were ‘Simply the Best’.

Two of my favorites from here, so much so they are on my daily workout soundtrack.

OK. Last song I’ll post since I do not know this song at all. I enjoy watching Reaction videos. Lots of good talent out there who would have made great VJs in the MTV era. I like this guy out of London.

Also, goes to show that 90% of an artists music might be kind of bunk, but a few hits can make one a legend and she was. I never know until someone dies, what mark is left. Didn’t realize how big Tina was in the 80’s. I like this one because when she’s on, she looks like a fitness model with the legs and arms. The ladies would call it sculpting or toning and she seemed to just have the natural genetics that it almost looked like a rocker workout.
