This man is what, in his 70’s? This is amazing stuff and after all that time he still sticks to just being him. Sure, he had a lot of help but putting out stuff of this quality at his age is remarkable.
September 4, 2022 at 9:08 am #280504Ozzy has ALWAYS had help, even in Sabbath. He doesn’t really write any music either. Do the research, Ozzy doesn’t do a whole lot musically other than hum a tune to get an idea and sing to lyrics someone else wrote. But ya, it’s nice to see he can still do a decent song. Nothing will beat his No Rest for the Wicked album though.
September 4, 2022 at 9:59 am #280513Well I never thought he was a musical genius but his singing style, themes and tones have always been cool.
What’s interesting about his themes and style is he was part of the Satanic Panic in the 90’s as I recall. I never listened to heavy metal or hard rock then but I do now. Ironically, almost none of it was satanic as I see it. Sure, they questioned some things but even then they did that respectfully with song. And there is nothing wrong with questioning and thinking about such things and I say that as a fairly religious person.
