A while ago I noticed that there didn’t seem to be many Star Trek miniatures out there despite the number of RPGs there have been over the years so I set about converting these:
More recently I also scratch built a shuttle to go with them:
Nice!!
Could you tell me where one would get something like this?
Are there any particular models above you are interested in? There are a lot of different companies that make these, ranging from individuals who might cast or print figures out of their own home up to some pretty big companies. eBay of course can offer a lot of them but beware of anything listed as out of production. I’ve seen figures listed this way that were still available brand new for less money on the manufacturer’s website.
You might want to try looking up some of the following companies on line (there are of course many more):
Games Workshop
Victoria Miniatures
Heresy Miniatures – this is where I got my large dragon model
Reaper Miniatures
EM4
Hasslefree Miniatures
I’m researching for a pair of videos about collecting 40k Imperial Guard and part of one of these will cover the issue of proxies, using figures not made by Games Workshop in 40k games. When looking to see what was available I think I found the most awesome proxy figures that would make even the most hardened Khorne berserker think twice. The Blood God would not look favourably on fighting these troops:
These figures are the Urzan Liberty Corps.
Orkie Warboss with war trophy…
I got mine from amazon . heres a link to the official site with product description.

And here’s my Ork warboss in mega armour.
Plus Ork Mex Buzzgob with the plans to his latest secret weapon:
I repainted mine two years ago. He had been a red before but I needed a gold that week.
LOVE THAT!!
As well as painting standard and converted miniatures I have also scratchbuilt a range of 25/28mm scale vehicles. In each case I set myself the challenge of making a basic core from just a single sheet of roughly A4 sized (297x210mm) 1mm thick plasticard.
Main battle tank:
Infantry fighting vehicle:
I’ve also made a command vehicle, APC and recovery vehicle variant of the IFV.
Wheeled explorer (also needed some tube for the wheels):
I’ve created a number of military and civilian variants of this wheeled vehicle.
That A1 Abams is sweet.
Thanks. The MBT was based more off the Challenger 2 (hence the multiple bands around the main gun) but I designed it so that the basic core could be modified to produce whatever you wanted. I made a short video about the process as well:
(note that this was made before my website moved and I think there’s a link to the old one at the end of this)
There are also videos about the IFV and explorer variants.
