Yes seriously.
2 genders will get you a 4 hour ban.
You get like 3 or 5 strikes then you are gone for good. IP bann.
They will most likely just time you out for the first few times. Until you tow the line and get the message.
You’re welcome WuBeeBee!
I should collect myself and form a much better argument on this topic and made a thread about it as a stand alone.
If I do I will keep you informed on that!
Just to be clear, even Parler Support account has a Tip Jar — and the more you pay, the more “influence” you have….Can you see how that looks to someone who has left several messages asking for help, and hasn’t gotten any help so far? I think so far I’ve submitted a total of 6 requests to their support, some via their “parley” system and a couple via their external “Contact Us” form, asking for help over the past 47 hours (almost 2 days waiting).
The only response I received was about 2 hours ago. I posted “Do I have to Tip you in order to receive support?” Voila! I got a reply! The reply was “Parler Support – what would you like help with?” (As if they hadn’t seen all my other messages?) So I re-iterated the help I needed directly to that reply. No response. An hour later I wrote: “Are you still there”? Still no response. So they are responsive to questions regarding that Tip Jar, I’ve confirmed that much.
I did look at the FAQ when I was signing up, and later I searched for words relevant to my issues; I found no answers at all there. It is to be honest not easy on the eyes, with black text on a burgundy background (that is how it appears in Firefox on a Mac, anyway). See screenshot:
I read Twitter’s “Hateful conduct policy” and it wasn’t clear, so I submitted the following question to Twitter using their external “Contact Us” form; I doubt I’ll ever get a response but if I do, I’ll update this thread:
If you have like 0-10 followers. You can get away with saying a lot. It is once someone takes notice and reports you.
I had 10K followers on Twitter. I ran a meme based page/comedy/truth. I pissed off Renfamous a well known harpy that collects “scalps” from her enemies. I ran in the circles on Twitter that was deemed wrong think.
I don’t play dumb and pretend I was just targeted for no reason.
If you just keep to yourself and don’t make any waves you should be just fine like everyone else.
Once you gain the attention of some people on there. Then you become a target. And you will be unfairly judged.
That is the best way I can put it. Same with Jeremy. He had 20k followers and a very high ranked You Tube channel that is on the major radar. I was just doing comedy and getting good digs in on lots of people who come after him.
Geeks and Gamers doesn’t and never did condone anything I did. AS I did it on my own free will.
But it made me a target too.
I don’t really use either… but from what I’ve seen of twitter, I’m definitely not getting on that platform. The concerns related to Parler are legitimate; would like to see if a better one develops where free speech can thrive.
Basically, I don’t expect Twitter to forbid any speech that would be allowed between two people talking to each other in line at the bank or at the grocery store.
Whether I personally approve or not is a completely different matter.
I think you may have it a bit confused. I’m not reading it as they’re allowing a person to openly proclaim they’re attracted to minors, but having a broad conversation pertaining to those who are or openly discuss pedophiles. For example, they won’t suspend/ban you if you are discussing, let’s say, Kevin Spacey when the accusations of him preying on underage boys in the film industry had hit the news. Twitter has a ton of issues, but I don’t think this is what you’re reading it as.
OK, well honestly it was another member who raised issue with that particular policy and he seems to know more about it. Like I said in a comment further down, if certain speech is permitted in public, I don’t expect Twitter to ban it.
That’s fair, and I wouldn’t expect them to ban certain conversations either. I do think that it does come down to the context of the conversation, but then again, who knows cause Twitter has banned people for really dumb stuff before.
…Like proving sitting senators wrong with a link to Constitutional law…
That got me an instant permaban. I have no love for twitt.
With all due respect there are people on Twitter talking about their attraction to children, they are called MAP.
You can read into it as you wish. It is much easier to sweep this under the rug for most people. The true horrors of this is not typically easy to digest. I see this happening all over the board when it comes to Hollywood pedos and the pedos who run the show.
They are able to network, find who is who and take their evils into private away from the light.
If you don’t wish to see that, I understand.
Again with all due respect, 80% of the time it doesn’t matter the context. It matters what ideology you are peddling and spinning.
Lots of us are now gathering here as our voices are silenced. Just glad we have a place to finally voice our concerns.
This is probably my last update on this experiment:
Per info I found on the site the only way to delete a Parler account is to ask via reply to @ParlerSupport — the same account that I’ve been begging for help the past several days. @ParlerSupport only responded once, when I sarcastically asked if a “Tip” was required in order to receive support (they responded “no”, then continued to ignore the issue I was asking about).
Regardless, I proceeded as advised; I sent a reply to @ParlerSupport asking for account deletion.
Not surprisingly, there has been no response.
One more thing. As is probably evident to the regulars here, I’m a fan of “The Babylon Bee”. I was going to follow them on Parler because I noticed they had an account there…but I noticed they had no “parleys”. I confirmed with The Babylon Bee via email (see below) that their account at Parler is also inactive — a ghost account now, just like mine.
We are not active, no.
You can just stick to following us on Twitter and Instagram :).
Current Running Score:
Game Over: Twitter Wins.
My current consensus: I honestly believe I gave Parler a fair chance. Parler customer support is inept, apathetic, or both.
Epilogue:
In my last correspondence to @ParlerSupport I had requested that someone delete my account, since they were not responding to my requests for customer support.
Today I checked the account and found this (below). Not Deleted, but Banned! I have never been “banned” from anything before in my life, not ever:
