This is our Westie, Bobby, who is 10 years old in August. We adopted him when he was nearly 5 months old.
This is Rye. He’s a dick. I kinda like him.
Wow, what a presence.
I’m very sorry for your loss. I lost one of my in a bad way a few years ago and learned the hard way that time in fact does not heal all wounds.
So what do I do? Adopt 3 more, naturally. I know they’re going to break my heart too one day.
Ive never met a cat that wasnt kind of a dick. It seems to be universal.
LOL! that’s hilarious. Wow.
Oldie_Wan, you have a pet named Chewy – how did I miss that! He looks “snug as a bug” in that photo.
Most call my oldest boy “Chewie”; I call him, affectionately, “Chewbie”.
I’m hesitant to post any photos of my pets on social media, because doing so could literally dox myself.
I had a cat once that flatly rejected my kindness. She hated me, don’t know what I did to deserve her low opinion of me.
I figured maybe all cats were aloof and mean in general, until one day, a starving kitten, not more than a month or two old, arrived at my front door. She kept howling and howling and howling…She was so hungry, so tiny. I couldn’t let an animal starve. So I fed her. I knew what that meant.
Maybe because she grew up around my dogs, she seems to think she’s one of them. They accept her as though she was. She’s very sweet. She’s never once raised her paw to them, or to any human for that matter. She just wants good food and a nice warm place to take a nap. Sometimes she’ll seek out a hand to stroke her medium-long hair, while she purrs contentedly.
I think she might be one of a kind. I would have never believed a truly sweet, dog-friendly cat existed, had this one never found us.
This is Stark. For House Stark or Tony!
