Picard looks to be desperate.
After the reaction from season one, they need to bring in the BIG GUNS.
Paramount+ revealed Monday that John de Lancie will appear in season two of Star Trek: Picard as Q, a significant adversary to Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart). The news was announced at Monday’s First Contact Day virtual session, which included a surprise appearance by de Lancie himself.
“Time offers so many opportunities, but never second chances,” says Picard. Then, Q can be heard saying, “The trial never ends.”
Are they going to ruin “Q” as well?
Lmao!
Actually now that I think about it, this could be a good thing. Hopefully they say Picard was just in some alternate universe Q created. Or that he was in a Holodeck. Or literally anything else that will retcon this show. Without that, without a retcon, it’s not Star Trek.
Q is not and never been a Villain.
He is probably the most honest of all characters in Star Trek. We have seen him Powerful, Scared, In love (high school type with KJ) struggling with parenthood and being that friend that does stupid shit you have to shake your head at. Truthfully He and Data were the most pure of heart and neither knew it.
Season 1 was just so so bad but Q could rectify many things if written correctly. He is in my top 5 scifi characters in tv series.
That is what the article called Q, a villain.
But we all know such a simple solution as this being an “alternative universe”, or being stuck in a “holodeck” will not be the Kurtzman way.
Just like KK over at Lucasfilm will not let Ashoka to use the Veil of the Force to fix the disney garbage, Kurtzman will not want HIS version to be so easily fixed.
Picard S01 never happened…NEVER HAPPENED!!!!
Don’t burst my bubble of willing ignorance!!!
Ya stop bursting Bubbles… Q- can fix it all, and he is the only being who could retcon and not have it be a retcon… Q FOR THE WIN.
Maybe Q can fix The Last Jedi as well… I mean omnipotence shouldn’t stop him from jumping to another franchise, no?
