The world has been transfixed by this story since it broke a few days ago and sadly it doesn’t seem as if there’s going to be a happy ending.

Of course, the media has been all over the story “investigating” every aspect of the machine, the company and its staff – if only they would be so meticulous about other important issues…but I digress.

Questions have been raised about the ad-hoc nature of the vessel and the procedures governing its operation.

And now questions are now being raised about the qualifications of the people who were hired to run the operation. It would be extremely sad if this were a contributing factor in this disaster. Timestamp 7:25.

I think this is all the news rage right now and it makes for easy clickbait that all the news orgs are abusing as much as possible.

“Questions have been raised about the ad-hoc nature of the vessel and the procedures governing its operation.”

ad-hoc nature?  Because they should have gone to the deep submersible store and gotten one off the shelf?

Procedures can surely be questioned but you are talking about a super rare and niche skillset.  The general public saying “well that’s does not sound right” is just silly.  There are probably a very tiny number of people in the world qualified through experience to judge such a thing.

I honestly am not sure why people are shocked or outraged that going almost 13,000 feet deep in the ocean is actually dangerous.  I mean what do you expect because this is not a whole lot different than going into space.

I will add though if there was some weird woke diversity thing going on here I would consider that suicidal because going 12,000 feet below the ocean HAS to be something that is built on a meritocracy because it is inherently very difficult and very dangerous.

I’d be more concerned with people’s lives than how diverse the rescue operation was🙄. This is why I didn’t sympathise with the people involved with the Grenfell “disaster” a few days later (I’m saying “disaster” because the guy that started it with a faulty fridge didn’t even warn the right authorities over it) because they complained that the firefighters weren’t diverse enough and so they were racist🙄. I don’t mean to sound nasty and heartless but if you’re going to be picky about the people rescuing you because of their skin colour, I’ve zero sympathy.

Diversity, like all this leftist Marxist garbage, is a lie based on verbal slight of hand.

True diversity can only be organic arrived at through equal opportunity.  Anything else is discrimination.  Period.

A debris field near the Titanic has been found.

Unified Command is currently trying to determine whether or not it is from the Submersible.

Coast Guard briefing scheduled for 3 p.m.

Confirmed, debris is from the sub consistent with catastrophic implosion of the vessel.

        All passengers have been lost.

Debris field was approximately 487m off the bow of the Titanic.

They’re continuing to map the debris field.

        • No information on whether crew members/remains have been found.
        • No comments on retrieving the vessel.
        • Too early to give details on when, why or how this happened.

        Condolences to friends and family.

I read were past passengers voiced concerns over safety issues.

And that there are 10 submersibles that are certified to go to the depths needed to visit the Titanic… and this mini-sub was NOT one of them.

From all that I have seen, a major class-act lawsuit is just around the corner on this company.

I have zero issue with folks who know what they are talking about reviewing the situation and making accusations and voicing concerns.  But going almost 13,000 feet deep is very much akin to going to space in level of difficulty and the specificity and rarity of the knowledge needed to do so.

To be shocked that a VERY dangerous activity turned out to be dangerous is somewhat silly to me.

I think all the outrage, questions, and accusations are by in large because the “news” outlets took full advantage of a very emotional situation and kicked out one piece of clickbait after another.

Here is a fantastic break down from a 20 yr veteran of submarine’s

Yay, we can’t have people talking about the Hunter Biden plea deal, nor the backlash on woke ideology.

OH look!  A missing sub!  Look here!  Don’t look over their!  Look here Here HERE!

          @comicsgate

If you’re on about that three hour snoose-feast by Mr Cameron, no thanks. Once as a kid was bad enough when our class was basically forced to watch it because we were doing a project about it. Don’t get me wrong; I have a lot of respect and sadness for the actual disaster but NOT the 1997 film. SO STOP RECOMMENDING ME IT DISNEY+😡😂 !

This would actually explain a few things about the area surrounding the disaster:

I find it creepy that some people are supposedly getting S.O.S. signals from it long after the Titanic sank😨.

I actually been around that area myself about ten years ago on a cruise but I wasn’t even aware of it until the next day after we had passed it. You could imagine my shock when I found out. Want to know the other scary thing? We were supposed to have a stop on land for whale spotting which I believe it was some way away but we couldn’t get there…because of a big ice sheet that that clearly hadn’t melted yet. Luckily our captain had the smarts to turn back round but during the night, we could hear something scraping against the hull. Even luckier was that the sheets weren’t thick. The next day, there were sonar photos out in the lobby about how much thin ice there was the night before.
