Resident Evil film reboot is woke trash

Bro you don’t have to be scared of being honest just because screeching betas on twitter will say you’re racist if you do, I promise you those people have no real power. You don’t have to pretend she’s good for the role when she obviously isn’t. It is so liberating when you realize the woke mob are weak peasants with no actual power and them crying “racist” means nothing because by the time you finish reading them calling you “racist” they’ve already called 70 other people the same thing

She doesn’t look anything like Jill, you’re coping. I could list a ton of actors who look more like her and aren’t pointlessly race swapped for the sake of woke quota filling. And that’s exactly what’s happened in her case, there is no valid excuse for her playing Jill when there are literally THOUSANDS of better choices who are actually the right race. Also the leaked casting call for her specifically called for an “African American with mixed ancestry”, that means the cucked casting people deliberately told white actresses to fuck off because they have a damn quota to fill so they can signal their virtue.

answer me this, if this movie were made 19 years ago instead of the crappy Paul WS Anderson film, would Jill have been black? Think back to 2002 when all this woke bullshit wasn’t mainstream and it wasn’t a crime to cast white actors in roles that were white to begin with, would this bullshit have happened?

Bro you’re not “dirty” for being hispanic. That being said, a good rule of thumb is whenever “muh diversity” is the priority, that means the story is not the priority. And taking the race changing out of the equation, the director confirmed that the mansion story and the Raccoon City story take place simultaneously which drastically goes against the lore. The city outbreak was supposed to be the aftermath with a couple months of the mansion survivors doing their own investigation of the corporation in between the events.

Plus the idea of cramming RE1 and 2’s stories into 1 film is sketchy as it is. RE1’s cutscenes and essential story gameplay if watched as a movie(you can find “game movies” on YouTube) clocks in just under an hour. So say they transcribe the game’s cutscenes into live action and do live action zombie fight scenes and such, we’re looking at 1 hour of the live action film already with just the mansion stuff. Then add maybe a 5 minute cold open, 10-15 minutes introducing the STARS team/showing the RPD station/STARS getting sent to the mountains/etc., now we’re easily up to and hour and 20 minutes, add an extra 5 for the credits and maybe a minute or 2 of a teaser foreshadowing the city outbreak and we’re at a runtime of just under 90 minutes which the typical horror movie runtime ranges from 80-100 minutes on average.

Now look at Resident Evil 2, particularly the remake, with the cutscenes and plot gameplay it would come to roughly 1 hour 55 minutes not counting end credits.

so either they’re going to make a film around 3 and a half hours long OR they’re going to half ass RE1 and 2’s stories and give us a rush job. Given that characters such as Barry and Rebecca don’t appear to be in it(if they are there’s no info about who’s playing them) my money is on they’re definitely going to half ass RE1’s story, probably 2’s as well.
